Today we’d like to introduce you to Ganna Dementieva.
Hi Ganna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Ukraine, in a small city, where my earliest memories are filled with flowers from my mother’s garden — peonies, roses, lilacs, and dahlias that changed with every season. Growing up, I was always fascinated by how nature could evoke emotion, color, and life, and it wasn’t long before that fascination became a deep passion.
From the age of 12, I began experimenting with floral design, attending classes and even gathering wild elements from forests and markets to create arrangements. Although Ukraine didn’t offer formal floral education, I pursued my dream with determination — studying hospitality while always returning to flowers.
After working at the Kyiv flower market and opening my first shop there, life brought major changes. In 2014, I moved to the United States, seeking new opportunities and creative freedom. I first worked in a Brooklyn florist shop, mastering speed and technique, then relocated to Miami, where I began designing unique and extraordinary flower arrangements for luxury spaces.
In 2015, I founded Luxury Flowers Miami — starting as a small online business while living in a tiny apartment, literally arranging flowers in every corner: bathroom, bed, kitchen table — wherever I could find space. From the beginning, my goal was to offer my customers something beyond flowers — elegant, European-inspired bouquets that convey emotion and artistry, not just arrangements.
Today, Luxury Flowers Miami is known for its modern elegance and artistic compositions, serving clients throughout Miami-Dade and Broward and celebrated on social platforms by a growing community of floral enthusiasts.

A Designer Driven by Passion & Curiosity
For me, floral design is not just a profession — it’s a journey of emotion, expression, and ongoing learning. I’ve attended workshops with renowned floral artists, deepening my knowledge and refining my voice in design. And even after all these accomplishments, I still chase new ideas, new techniques, and new inspirations.
I once couldn’t even dream of achieving what I have today — from a child in a garden in Ukraine to a florist creating art in Miami — and these recognitions mean the world to me. They remind me that creativity, persistence, and heart can truly blossom into something beautiful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — the road was far from smooth.
When I first moved from Ukraine to the United States, everything was new: the language, culture, even how the floral industry worked here. I had to start from zero — no connections, no clients, just passion and determination.
In the beginning, I worked long hours, often seven days a week, learning and creating nonstop. When I opened Luxury Flowers Miami, I was working out of a tiny apartment, doing everything myself — from buying flowers and designing to delivering orders and managing social media. There were times I felt completely exhausted, but I never lost faith in what I loved.
Another challenge was finding my own voice in a new market. Miami has a very specific style — bright, tropical, and bold — while I was bringing a European, more refined aesthetic. It took time for people to understand and appreciate that difference. But I believed that emotion, elegance, and storytelling through flowers could connect with anyone — and slowly, it did.
Every struggle taught me resilience, and every obstacle became part of my growth. Looking back now, I’m grateful for all of it — because it shaped not only my business but also who I am as an artist and person.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is all about transforming flowers into emotion. I’m the founder and lead designer of Luxury Flowers Miami, a boutique floral studio known for its European-inspired style, elegant compositions, and artistic storytelling through design.
I specialize in creating luxury arrangements, event installations, and custom floral art pieces that reflect both beauty and feeling. My goal has always been to go beyond “just flowers” — to create something that makes people feel. Whether it’s a single bouquet or a large-scale installation, every detail matters: the color harmony, the rhythm, the emotional balance.
I’m especially proud of how far my business has come. I started with just a few tools, a small table, and a big dream — and today, Luxury Flowers Miami has become a name people associate with quality, artistry, and heart. My clients trust me to tell their stories through flowers, and that trust means everything to me.
What sets my work apart is my signature blend of European elegance and modern emotion. I see flowers as a language — one that can express joy, love, nostalgia, or gratitude. Each design I make carries a little piece of my journey, my Ukrainian roots, and the belief that beauty has the power to connect people everywhere.
How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just about awards or recognition — it’s about doing what you love every single day and seeing how your work touches people’s hearts.
Success is when a client looks at an arrangement and feels something — joy, love, nostalgia — when flowers speak louder than words. It’s when my team and I create something beautiful that makes someone’s day brighter.
Of course, I’m proud of the titles and accomplishments I’ve earned, but true success, to me, is growth — both as an artist and as a person. It’s about staying curious, learning constantly, and staying true to your vision even when the path isn’t easy.
I also see success in balance — between creativity and discipline, passion and patience, giving to others while staying grounded myself.
If I can inspire even one person to follow their dream fearlessly, then I feel I’ve succeeded.
