Exploring Life & Business with Cherise C Irons of Irons Consulting Group LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cherise C Irons.

Hi Cherise C, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey in entrepreneurship began in 2016 following early retirement from my 17 year educational career. The early retirement came as a result of a traumatic encounter at work which triggered migraine. I had been in remission for five years until the incident occurred. Between June 2016 to October 2016 I became extremely ill. The pain was so severe that on November 6th 2015 , I left work and never returned. In Jan of 2016 after months of uncertainty, I decided to join Maxwell leadership team. This opened my eyes to the reality of being my own boss. By April of 2016, Irons Group LLC was born.

Initially, I set out to provide training and workshops for corporate leaders but that shifted because I was constantly facing challenges at the doctors office. It became increasingly apparent that I needed to advocate for people living with migraine in a real way. In 2021 , I became a Patient Advocate with the American Migraine Foundation. This has opened many doors to share my story.

Recently, I transitioned my business to focus primarily on bridging the communication gaps between chronic migraine patients and their providers to be seen , known, and heard.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Some of the struggles include my health, belief in myself, starting over multiple times, funding my business with my own money, showing up for others, and the barriers to being an entrepreneur.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Irons Consulting Group LLC ?

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the warmth and sun all year round. It’s also wonderful to live near family and be around my best friend and her family. I also love that this city has one of the best neurologist and headache specialists in the country. I love all the wonderful relationships that I have developed since living here.

I don’t like the traffic (sheesh) it’s become like New York.
