Rising Stars: Meet Aroon Surani of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aroon Surani.

Hi Aroon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career in social media in 2016, shortly after graduating from the Nicholson School of Communication with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. I began freelancing as a social media manager, publicist, and magazine editor, working with small businesses and startups across South Florida to grow their online presence and brand awareness.
A turning point came when I began managing the practice of a Miami plastic surgeon. During that time, I implemented a full social media and marketing strategy, including influencer partnerships, which generated an additional high six-figure profit for the practice. That experience gave me an inside look at the aesthetics industry and helped me understand how marketing directly impacts patient trust, visibility, and growth.

I quickly realized there was a gap in the market, aesthetic practices needed marketing partners who truly understood their industry. In 2019, I combined my background in social media marketing with my passion for skincare, cosmetic dermatology, and plastic surgery, and founded Plastics Media.

Today, I’m the CEO and Founder of Plastics Media, a boutique social media agency specializing exclusively in the aesthetics space. We work with plastic surgeons, med spas, injectors, and dermatology practices across the U.S. and internationally, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok marketing for aesthetics. Collectively, our clients have generated over 100 million views on TikTok alone, gaining national and international recognition, including features on platforms like The Doctors on CBS.

What sets Plastics Media apart is that we don’t just understand social media, we understand aesthetic medicine. We stay closely connected to industry trends, technology, and education, and we take every client’s growth personally. My goal has always been to help aesthetic brands show up online in a way that feels elevated, authentic, and truly impactful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a successful business owner is never a smooth road. I honestly don’t believe there’s anyone with a thriving business who had it easy. Even starting Plastics Media required a big leap. I had to save enough money to leave a secure 9 to 5 job, which in itself was a risk.

Shortly after I made that decision, COVID hit. I found myself scrambling to make ends meet and had to take on another job just to support myself, all while trying to build Plastics Media from the ground up. The first months were spent researching aesthetic practices from Coral Gables to Boca Raton and cold calling in hopes of landing a meeting. It took nearly nine months before I signed my first client.

Those early days were a major struggle, and as the company grew, new challenges came with it. Learning how to delegate, trust a team, and shift from being fully hands on creatively to managing people and processes wasn’t easy. That transition forced me to grow in ways I didn’t expect.

Despite the challenges, I’m incredibly grateful. I love what I do, and the journey has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally. Looking back, every struggle shaped the business and me into what we are today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m very hands on in the day to day operations at Plastics Media. I oversee everything from strategy to execution and make sure every piece of content that goes out reflects the highest level of quality and professionalism. It’s important to me that Plastics Media leaves a positive impression everywhere we work, so I focus heavily on client experience, consistency, and making sure my team stays current with trends, platform changes, and what’s happening in the aesthetics industry.
I’m also deeply involved in the creative side and still personally create a large portion of the content for our clients. We specialize in Instagram management and content creation for injectors, med spas, plastic surgeons, and medical and aesthetic businesses. That niche focus is what we’re truly known for and what allows us to deliver results that feel elevated, intentional, and aligned with each practice’s brand.

I’m incredibly proud of how far Plastics Media has come and the reputation we’ve built in the aesthetic space. Being recognized as a top marketing company in 2025 by DesignRush, a top content marketing agency in Miami in 2024 by Marketing Hub, and a Top 50 Global Leader in 2026 by 50Pros was meaningful because it reflected the work, consistency, and standards we hold ourselves to every day.

What truly sets us apart is that everything is done in house. We don’t outsource our work, which allows us to maintain quality control, fast turnaround times, and strong communication. Our deep knowledge of the aesthetics industry, combined with a highly professional and responsive team, is what keeps clients with us long term and positions Plastics Media as a trusted leader in aesthetic social media marketing.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with or collaborate with us by reaching out through our website, Instagram, or email. We’re always open to meaningful collaborations that align with our values and the aesthetics industry.

As a small business, referrals truly mean everything to us. Word of mouth has played a huge role in our growth, and being recommended by clients, colleagues, or friends is always the highest compliment and the most meaningful way to support what we do.
