Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Vera.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started with a transportation business, but it didn’t go the way I expected. It was a very stressful business — when something breaks, it can cost thousands of dollars. That’s exactly what happened to me: my equipment broke down, and I spent all my savings just to repair it and keep it running.

At that point, I realized it wasn’t giving me enough in return, and I needed another source of income. Because of the need to generate more money, I started looking for a job, and I was hired to clean houses. After just one day working for them, I realized that was the business.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, so I knew I didn’t want to be just the one cleaning. I saw that I could focus on getting clients and doing the marketing to grow the business. I asked the bank for a credit card, and that’s how I started.

Little by little, I kept improving, and I made it work. Today, this business provides me with enough to live comfortably, and I feel truly happy because I can also bless other people by giving them work.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The obstacle I faced was that I tried several marketing companies that didn’t deliver good results. Some of them are mainly focused on signing you as a client, but once they have you, they don’t really do a good job. They simply run ads without caring whether the leads are high quality or how to improve the cost or overall results.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Top Cleaning and More is a residential and commercial cleaning company focused on delivering consistent, high-quality service with attention to detail and trust. We specialize in residential cleanings, move-in/move-out services, and recurring cleanings for busy families and professionals, as well as offices that value a clean and healthy work environment.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that growth comes from taking ownership. In the beginning, I relied too much on others to build my business, especially when it came to marketing. Over time, I learned that understanding your numbers, your clients, and your strategy is essential.

Once I took responsibility for learning and improving every part of my business, everything changed. That mindset helped me build a company that is stable, sustainable, and aligned with my values.
