Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Macadar.
Hi Daniel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I came to the United States 22 years ago, always thinking about becoming a dentist. In college I quickly realized that dentistry was maybe not for me. While in college, I started building and maintaining websites for professors that really had issues with them. At the time, website were “innovative and advanced” my passion for solving a problem and for computers in general took me to excel at helping people with technology. I finished my bachelors degree in biology at FIU and made the decision to start Simple Solutions, a software development agency that, back then, was dedicated to building websites. Through the years, and after going through several iterations, I converted Simple Solutions into what it is today. A Software development agency that is focused on building functional tools for any business, always considering user experience and the people that use such tools. Simple Solutions is also a local business with local talent. We work on a consultative fashion and have in business for 20 years.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would never consider entrepreneurship a “Smooth road”. Simple Solutions and myself in general work within a space that continuously advances and as such we have to always adjust to how technology becomes better. That requires us to add new values to stay afloat. Costing has also been an issue for us as there is a lot of competition overseas at a fraction of the cost. So value really becomes top priority next to quality.

At Simple Solutions we specialize in building functional technology tools that help business operate better, be more efficient, and ultimately save costs. Simple Solutions brings over 50 years of experience to the table and works as a partner to its clients. We also seek a meaningful relationship that will grow through time. We are different that other agencies because we are local. In Miami, there are very few software development agencies that do the work in-house. Most work is farmed out to subcontractors or off-shore teams. We try to be more personal and better connected to the client. We understand the problems and are well versed in many industries. Our team allows us to really thrive in any environment and with any challenge that is presented.
What does success mean to you?
Success in an agency is a tough concept to describe. I define success through the longevity and the quality of partnerships that we have. The more solid the relationship, the harder it is to break, and at the end, the success comes from those strong partnerships.
