We recently had the chance to connect with Estefania Peynetti and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Estefania, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Art, weather it be my craft of cake decorating, where I lose time and find myself immersed in my passion or painting, going to museums and observing artwork, learning new techniques, I enjoy all artforms.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Let Them Have Cake is a boutique café and cake studio where artistry meets indulgence. Delight in delectable confections, savor Coffee, and enjoy teas in a space crowned by the City Beautiful Award 2025 for Outstanding Retail Interior. Our inviting ambiance welcomes you for your next rendezvous with friends, a relaxed meeting, or a moment of sweet indulgence.
Inspired by Estefania Peynetti, a Paris-educated chef and architect and Food Network winner, our custom cakes transform any event into a memory worth savoring.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be I was just someone who loved feeling textures in my hands, who loved creating .
I wasnt a professional but a kid captivated by magic, by art, by building things and by sweetness. I always loved eating dessert and art in my own way. I was creative but I never knew what to do with that, never knew I could turn flavors into stories.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I never knew what I wanted to study, Last months of high school I thought maybe I would try industrial design in college so I did, after a week I switched to graphic design, after a semester I switched to architecture. Graduated as an architect but always felt lost .. slowly I followed my passion for art and hobby of baking that turned into Let them have cake, but it was hard starting over in a new craft and trying to figure out how to make a business of it, many times I thought of giving up, and then starting over in Miami again has been tough .
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
One hundred percent! Really hard for me not be myself! You meet me and you get all of me!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
Sometimes when decorating a cake thats a challenge, when I finally realize how I want to create it I cant stop! Find myself adding more details, exiting about making it. Its a moment to perfect my skills, expand my knowledge, stretch my imagination and prove to myself that I can turn ideas into edible art.
