Today we’d like to introduce you to Vaul Alexander.
Hi Vaul, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve been a celebrity photographer for over a decade now. However, I got my 1st initial introduction to The Music Industry about 20 years ago as a Freshman at FAMU in Tallahassee, FL. I was a member of a marketing street team called B Boyz & B Girls. We promoted all of the biggest college parties, concerts, & artists at the time. Everything from Lil Wayne concerts to Plies’ 1st album “The Real Testament on Slip N Slide Records To Trick Daddy’s “Back By Thug Demand.” Keep in mind there was no Instagram back then and MySpace was still a new thing. You have to have hustle for real. My homie Dizzy introduced me to TJ Chapman, CEO TJ’s DJ’s Record Pool. Everyone at the office took a liking to me from Day 1. I had that down South Palm Beach hustle with an artist’s SWAG. From there I started interning at TJ’s DJ’s Record Pool, Music Conferences, & 2nd Annual Ozone Magazine Awards in Miami, FL. Shout out to Julia Beverly of Ozone Magazine. By this time I was only 19 years old and running around all the 21+ clubs in Miami from Club Mansion to Club Bed. Hottest clubs in the country at the time. Shout to to my dawg Markee! Fast forward to almost 20 years later and I still have the same network of connections today. So even when I decided to jump back in the game, this time as a Celebrity Photographer, Videographer, and Director I already knew how to move I just had to hustle! I went from just being a photographer to running a full media production company, Vaul Alexander, LLC alongside my wife, the beautiful Rose Alexander. Some of our clients include Comedian Rickey Smiley, Remy Martin, Vlad TV, Escape The States, DJ Demp, Slip N Slide Records and countless other celebrities, brands, companies, and individual supporters that stand with us. We’ve also just come up on the 1 Year Anniversary of Platinum 360, LLC our Premier 360 Photo Booth and event photography company serving Tallahassee, FL and all surrounding areas

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being an artist and entrepreneur is never easy. 90% of businesses don’t make it past the 1st year. We survived Covid, Right now photographers are competing against AI. I like to focus on staying up to date on new trends and technology. If you don’t adapt in business you will get left behind.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a celebrity Photographer And Videographer I’m most known for my crystal clear and vibrant concert images that really capture the mood and energy of the performance and crowd. I’m most proud of my growth and the path and foundation that I’ve laid for others as a Music Photographer in the game but most notably Tallahassee. We are just now becoming a Rap/Hip Hop city, but I was shooting from the beginning. I think my legacy will be the blueprint I laid down for those who are inspired to create while keeping the integrity and understanding the power of visuals
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My tenacity to win no matter what life throws at me. My ambition. I started at what most consider the bottom. Still I Rise
