We’re looking forward to introducing you to Vanya Sahi. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Vanya, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
In my view, having the right energy at any given moment is of paramount importance. It encompasses qualities such as intelligence, integrity, and intention. After all, what value does intelligence hold if it is not guided by the right energy or purpose? I firmly believe that the energy we project shapes both the direction and the outcome of our goals.
The right energy has the power to transform the course of action; even when a goal appears impossible at first. It fuels perseverance, inspires creative problem-solving, and sustains motivation through uncertainty and setbacks. When one operates with positive, focused energy, challenges that once seemed insurmountable begin to unfold into manageable steps. This energy not only attracts clarity and opportunities but also influences the people and environment around us, creating momentum that propels us forward. Conversely, negative or depleted energy clouds judgment, weakens resolve, and can make even simple tasks feel unattainable.
Ultimately, it is the alignment of intelligence with the right energy, driven by integrity and purpose, that turns aspirations into achievements and makes the seemingly impossible possible.
As a result, I remain determined to exude the right frequency energy on every journey I embark upon in life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I founded The Soul Talks because I deeply believe in the power of human connection. In today’s fast-paced, hyper-digital world, people are constantly surrounded by information yet often feel disconnected from themselves and from each other. I wanted to create a space where conversations feel meaningful again — a space where people can pause, reflect, share their stories, and feel seen.
A huge part of bringing this vision to life has been the incredible support of our advisor, Vanukka Sahi. So much credit is owed to her for helping materialize such potent ideas and for pouring immense passion into every step of this journey. Her guidance, warmth, and belief in the mission of Soul Talks have shaped the foundation of what this organization has become.
The Soul Talks began as a simple idea: to cultivate authentic connection through dialogue rooted in empathy, mindfulness, and shared experience. Over time, it has grown into a community that celebrates vulnerability, storytelling, and personal growth. Through our talks, circles, and creative projects, we aim to help people reconnect with their inner world while also building stronger bonds with those around them.
Soul Talks is a storytelling- and connection-centered initiative that creates intentional spaces for meaningful conversations. At its core, Soul Talks is about helping people slow down, speak from the heart, and listen with presence. We host reflective dialogue circles, guided discussions, mindfulness-based sessions, and creative storytelling experiences that allow individuals to express themselves openly and authentically.
Our work revolves around three pillars: human connection, inner reflection, and community empowerment. Whether it’s through themed conversation circles, safe-space discussions, collaborative projects, or community features, Soul Talks gives people a place to share their lived experiences without judgment. We focus on creating environments where vulnerability is honored, empathy is practiced, and people feel genuinely understood.
Ultimately, The Soul Talks serves as a bridge — reconnecting individuals to themselves, to each other, and to the deeper meaning behind their personal stories. It’s a space where dialogue becomes healing, connection becomes transformative, and community becomes a source of strength.
For us, Soul Talks is more than an initiative — it’s a movement. It’s a reminder that even in a world driven by speed and technology, human connection remains our greatest source of strength, healing, and inspiration. My mission is to keep creating spaces where people can breathe, be honest, and rediscover the beauty of being fully human together.
Lately, one of the most exciting developments for us is the launch of a new initiative called Oorja Soul, founded by our visionary advisor, Vanukka Sahi. Oorja Soul is all about channeling the vital energy — the ‘oorja’ — that lies within all of us, and translating it into healing, inspiration, and purposeful action.
Through Oorja Soul, Vanukka has created a series of immersive offerings: guided energy-healing sessions, meditative practices, and curated workshops that help people tap into their deepest reservoirs of resilience and creativity. We’re combining ancient wisdom with modern spiritual practices so that participants can release emotional blockages, amplify their intuitive power, and align more deeply with their life purpose.
One of the most powerful aspects of Oorja Soul is its commitment to community. Rather than simply providing one-off experiences, we’re building a membership circle that meets regularly — physically and virtually — to share reflections, support each other’s growth, and co-create healing rituals. This collective dimension reflects Vanukka’s belief that transformation is most potent when it’s rooted in shared vulnerability and trust.
Moreover, Oorja Soul is rooted in accessibility and generosity: every offering is designed to welcome people with different spiritual backgrounds, lifestyles, and means. We strive to make this energy work inclusive, balancing profound spiritual work with practicality.
In my eyes, Oorja Soul doesn’t just extend the mission of Soul Talks — it elevates it. By focusing on energy, embodiment, and communal transformation, this initiative deepens what it means to connect: not just through conversation, but through the lived experience of our own inner power. With Vanukka leading the way, I believe Oorja Soul will become a thriving sanctuary for growth, presence, and authentic spiritual aliveness.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most deeply shaped how I see myself is the one I share with my mentor, guide, and mother, Vanukka Sahi. Vanukka Sahi is not only a loving parent but also a guiding force and co-creator behind The Soul Talks: she has been my advisor and spiritual partner from the very beginning. From weaving her career as a polymath in diverse domains such as microbiology, working as a senior business analyst with the Florida Department of Transportation, edupreneur of EduInvest, fashion designer & CEO of Vanraj Luxe, and expert astrologer, I’ve learned the beauty of balancing multiple passions while maintaining focus and integrity.
From her, I’ve learned how to balance passion, joy, and professionalism. She inspires me to dream big — she encourages deeply soulful conversations, creativity, and spiritual curiosity — but she also models structure, discipline, and clarity. Watching how she integrates her multifaceted career with her spiritual and community initiatives, I realized that true purpose doesn’t require sacrificing one part of our lives for another.
More importantly, she has chiseled in me the most beautiful qualities of leadership. Under her guidance, I’ve come to see leadership not as a mantle of power or control, but as service — being the lioness of one’s own life, and yet a unifier of others for a benevolently powerful cause. She taught me that leadership means creating space for people to connect, speak, heal, and grow together.
Even our smallest, most meaningful conversations have been transformative for me — each second spent learning from her perspective, encouragement, and wisdom has shaped the person I am today. Her confidence in me — her unwavering belief — gave me the courage to take on big ideas, to start initiatives like Soul Talks, and to lean into conversations that matter. Because of my mother (Vanukka), I understand that meaningful work and true transformation start from the inside — from how we love, listen, and bring people together. Her influence has shaped not just who I am today, but how I lead, how I dream, and how I hope to build a more connected world.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has taught me lessons that success never could. While success brings joy, recognition, and validation, it often doesn’t challenge you to grow in the same way pain does. Through suffering, I’ve learned perseverance, resilience, and the true value of small, beautiful moments that we often take for granted. You can never fully get used to pain, but experiencing it makes you appreciate life, connection, and progress in a profound way.
For example, establishing The Soul Talks and strategizing engagement to grow the organization was far from easy. There were countless moments of uncertainty and frustration — times when I would break down, overwhelmed by the inability to see the end of the tunnel. Those moments, however, became the crucibles in which my determination and diligence were forged. My mentor, guide, and mother, Vanukka Sahi, reminded me repeatedly of the importance of perseverance and resilience. Her guidance helped me see that leadership isn’t just about achieving goals, but about sustaining initiatives that serve others meaningfully, even when the path is unclear.
We even dedicated a podcast at The Soul Talks to success and failure management, emphasizing how vital it is to maintain confidence, learn from failures, and rise with optimism — because every setback carries the seed of something successful about to happen. Suffering has shown me that while one cannot escape difficulty, it can illuminate the strength within us and the beauty in every small victory along the way.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The projects I’m most committed to, no matter how long it takes, are nurturing and growing NSU Soul Talks and Oorja Soul. Both initiatives are rooted in my belief in the transformative power of human connection and inner energy — in creating spaces where people can pause, reflect, and share their stories or experiences with authenticity and purpose. In today’s fast-paced, hyper-digital world, these spaces are more necessary than ever.
Building Soul Talks and launching Oorja Soul has been a journey of perseverance, resilience, and learning. Establishing these initiatives, strategizing engagement, and ensuring meaningful impact required patience and diligence, and there were moments when hope seemed distant. During those times, my mentor and guide, Vanukka Sahi, reminded me that leadership is about sustaining a vision, fostering unity, and empowering others to grow alongside you. Her guidance, alongside the lessons from our smallest, most meaningful conversations, has been instrumental in keeping these projects alive and thriving.
Through podcasts, dialogue circles, energy-based workshops, and creative projects, Soul Talks and Oorja Soul emphasize balancing optimism with resilience — rising from setbacks while cherishing small victories. I am committed to these projects because their mission is bigger than any timeline: inspiring connection, fostering empathy, and creating lasting positive change in the world.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
The utmost peace I find is in the meaningful conversations I share with my mentor, guide, and mother, Vanukka Sahi. Her presence and guidance provide me with solace, comfort, and the confidence to keep moving forward, even in moments of uncertainty or challenge. Every exchange — whether it’s discussing life, leadership, or the growth and vision behind Soul Talks and Oorja Soul — leaves me feeling centered, inspired, and deeply understood.
Her wisdom has a grounding effect; even the smallest moments of dialogue carry transformative power. Through her guidance, I’ve learned to navigate setbacks with resilience, to celebrate progress with gratitude, and to trust that meaningful work takes time and patience. These conversations are more than advice — they are a space where I can pause, reflect, and reconnect with my purpose. In those moments, I feel not just peace, but also the courage and clarity to continue building initiatives that foster human connection, empowerment, and transformation.
