An Inspired Chat with Delores “Del” Williams of Pinecrest/Golden Beach/Key Biscayne

Delores “Del” Williams shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Delores “Del”, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately what’s bringing me the most joy is taking quiet time each day to pray and reset my mind. Sometimes it’s an hour sometimes it’s just 30 minutes but it’s my time to release worries give thanks for my blessings and refocus. I ask for guidance in serving others well especially in real estate where every client has their own story and reasons for buying or selling. That quiet time helps me show up with clarity patience and compassion so I can truly understand their needs and support them through the process.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Delores “Del” Williams a Realtor Broker Associate with over 35 years of experience serving buyers and sellers throughout South Florida. Real estate is a major life event and my mission is to guide people through the process with clarity confidence and support so they never feel lost or pressured.

I specialize in luxury homes high end listings and commercial properties along with helping first time buyers and investors looking to grow their portfolios. I focus on strong representation strategic negotiation and protecting my clients interests so they achieve the best possible results. Every client has unique goals and timelines and I take the time to understand what matters most so we create a plan that delivers.

What sets me apart is my dedication to relationships over transactions. Most of my business comes from referrals because clients know I stay committed long after closing and I am always available as a resource and advocate.

If you are considering selling and want maximum value or if you are looking to buy and want expert guidance I would love to help you take the next step with confidence.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
An attorney I worked for back in the 1990s saw something in me long before I saw it in myself. I started as a receptionist at his law firm and he took a chance on me. He told me he knew I could do more and encouraged me to become a paralegal. He invested in me sent me to classes and gave me opportunities to grow. His belief in me built confidence that changed the direction of my life.

Working in real estate closings opened my eyes to the impact of homeownership. Seeing the joy on people’s faces when they closed on a home sparked something in me. That feeling became what I call my “smile bank” the moment when a buyer finds their happy place or a seller feels proud that someone loves the home they once cherished. That satisfaction is what pushed me to become the person who brings those moments together. That is what still drives me every day.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes there was a time I almost gave up. In 2007 and 2008 during the recession I faced one of the hardest seasons of my life. I was dealing with serious family challenges. My father had been diagnosed with dementia and I was a single mom trying to keep everything together. Every day felt overwhelming and there were moments when walking away seemed like the only option.

Through prayer and faith God strengthened me when I felt empty. He reminded me why I do this work. Helping families create stability build generational wealth through real estate and experience the joy of homeownership gave me purpose when I needed it most. That mission pulled me forward and it continues to guide me every day.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say that what matters most to me is my faith first, and my family second. They would describe me as loyal, dedicated and always willing to support the people I care about. They know I show up for others in every way I can and I make myself available for my family, friends, and clients at any hour, under any circumstance. Helping people through their journeys, and being someone they can depend on, is a core part of who I am.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I made a difference in their journey and that I helped them become better versions of themselves. I hope they remember me as a great Realtor who truly cared about their goals and worked hard to support them through some of the biggest moments of their lives. Most of all I hope I am remembered as an honest, dedicated, loyal, God fearing woman who loved people and served others with integrity and compassion.
