Andrew Bourguignon of Boston on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Andrew Bourguignon and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I am very proud of building the foundation inside myself that nobody sees. I spend a lot of time learning, experimenting, and developing skills with things that interest me. I think of each skill or piece of knowledge as a puzzle piece, and over time I have learned how to connect them in a way that helps me build both a business and a life that actually fits who I am. Most of this happens quietly and behind closed doors. People usually just see the final result. That is the part I am most proud of.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Andrew Bourguignon and I run ClicksToClose, a company focused on helping real estate agents simplify their work and grow their businesses. We help theme create better systems, smarter content, and use of AI. Everything we create comes from real experiments and data. I am also a licensed real estate agent and apply these credentials to what we do. Essentially, we work with agents to give them leverage.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The first time I turned an idea into a real paying client for my business shaped how I saw my career moving forward. Up until that point, I had ideas, skills, and lessons I believed in, but I had not proven to myself that I could create something valuable enough for someone to invest in. When that first person said yes, it showed me its possible to build something you care about if you take the risk.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a point in my journey where the business model I had created was working, but it was pulling me away from who I was as a person. I felt like I was forcefully serving my business without a second to breathe. The burnout affected me much harder than expected. I also has the realization at this time that I had created this situation myself. From this, I began to tell myself there was a better way to do this. Spending hours conceptualizing, I transitioned the business into digital and scalable services. This has given me a new energy moving forward.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to building long term systems that help people create more freedom in their work. I want to take everything I learn and turn it into things that live beyond my direct effort. I want the work I do today to compound over time and help people long after the moment it’s created.

Some parts grow fast and others grow slowly, but the full vision is a lifetime project. For me this is not just about business. It is about creating something that continues to grow. I plan to keep building it piece by piece for as long as it takes.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. Most of what I have built has been done without validation. I spent immense amounts of time learning new skills when no one was watching and no one was praising any of it. That was the normal for me. I worked because I was chasing genuine interest.

The work that lasts is the work you do quietly and consistently. I give my best because I want the final product to be real, valuable, and something I am proud of, not because I expect anyone to clap for it.
