For more than twenty-five years, Maryuri A. Velazquez has dedicated her career to improving the health, comfort, and confidence of her clients. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphatic Therapist, and Access Consciousness® Bars Facilitator, she is recognized for her specialized skill, clinical knowledge, and compassionate approach to healing.
Maryuri began her foundational training at the Educating Hands School of Massage, where an initial hobby quickly evolved into a passion-driven profession. Today, her work is trusted by clients throughout Broward County and beyond, whether they arrive through referrals, online searches, or long-standing community relationships.
At the heart of her practice is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Lymphatic Enhancement Therapy (LET). Using advanced manual techniques and the Lymphstar Pro Fusion instrument, Maryuri focuses on supporting individuals recovering from surgery, managing autoimmune conditions, or seeking to strengthen their immune system. Her extensive experience has made her a valued resource for those navigating swelling, inflammation, and chronic wellness challenges.
In addition to her therapeutic bodywork, Maryuri is also a Licensed Facial Specialist. She integrates lymphatic facial techniques to help minimize the effects of environmental stress, promote anti-aging benefits, and support clients with acne-prone or sensitive skin. This holistic approach ensures that both body and skin receive comprehensive care.
Maryuri values collaboration and believes deeply in community-centered wellness. Her advanced MLD certification through MLD International, under the instruction of Elisa Di Falco, M.S., O.T., LMT, further enhances the depth and sophistication of her work. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As I look back over the past 25 years, I can see that my growth has not always been easy. There have been rough patches—moments, even recently—when I felt ready to stop, step away, and choose a different path. The work is rewarding, but it can also be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding.
Yet every time I reached that point, something powerful happened.
The heartfelt messages, the gratitude, and the trust I receive from my clients became the fuel that kept me moving forward. Their stories, their progress, and the transformations I witness daily remind me why I began this journey in the first place. They bring me back to that moment in massage school when I experienced my first therapeutic treatment and knew, without a doubt, that healing work was part of my purpose.
Believing in what I do—and seeing the changes it has created in thousands of sessions over more than 5,000 hours of hands-on work—helps me refocus, readjust, and rise again with renewed dedication. Each challenge has shaped me. Each obstacle has strengthened my commitment to learning, improving, and showing up fully for the people who trust me with their care.
This journey has not always been smooth, but it has always been meaningful. And I continue to move forward with gratitude, purpose, and the desire to help others heal, recover, and reconnect with their bodies in the most compassionate way possible.
