Hi Trey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Get ready to meet Trey, the ultimate party-starting DJ who lives and breathes the electrifying world of turntables. With over 20 years of non-stop groove, this New Orleans native knows how to rock the house like no other.
Hailing from the city of celebrations, Trey not only earned a degree in Multimedia Production but also a reputation as the life of any party. Picture this: he spun tracks at the wedding of Patrón Tequila big shots, rubbing shoulders with legends like Frank Sinatra’s original band. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg – Trey’s shared the spotlight with global funnyman Kevin Hart, the iconic Ice Cube, and the one and only Alex Monopoly.
His party trail spans epic names like Heineken, Adidas, Ted Baker, and even the tech giants IBM Computers. You might have caught him dropping beats at The Frost Science Museum, Miami’s lavish Beverly Hills Hotel, or amid the lush blooms of Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden. Trey’s set the stage on fire at The Walton Manor, The Mayfair Hotel, and The Epic Hotel, not to mention the Miami Supercar Room.
But what truly sets DJ Trey apart is his uncanny ability to vibe with the crowd, coupled with his undying passion for the art of spinning. Get ready for beats that’ll make your heart race and a party you’ll never forget!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve had plenty of struggles along the way. My life and career are both physically and mentally challenging. This is why I love what I do. Some struggles include women, finances, substance abuse, long hours. Putting a lot of pressure on myself to perform at my best at all times intense. I couldn’t imagine having any other life path. I truly love what I do and it’s the reason I get up every day and continue
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So I am a professional DJ and event Host. I got my start with a residency at a casino in Gulfport MS. I then decided to double down and move to Miami. My DJ career exploded and started doing mostly corporate events, weddings, and private parties. I now DJ at high end hotels, pools, and hookah lounges in and around Miami. I am most proud of doing the Ride Along 2 World Premiere at 1111 Lincoln Rd with Kevin Heart and Ice Cube. I also have an impressive list of past clients like IBM computers and Dow chemicals. I currently run a large a/v network with over 300 people. I help keep everyone connected with the best companies and events and help coordinate a lot of the efforts behind things like Art Basel and iii Points for example. I even have a vape recycling start up that I recently started working on where we ensure used vapes stay out of landfills. We properly dispose of the components in vapes and make different products by repurposing the components. Whats sets me apart from others is that I don’t know anyone else that has the drive and creativity to do what I do.

I’m a workaholic. I’ve had to start from nothing multiple times to get where I am at today. Miami is the place to do it. The transportation here is pretty cool and easy to get around compared to other big cities. If you have the will- Miami has the way
