Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
First generation American. My family is from Panama
First in my family to attend college
Entered into a profession where only 2.8% of all doctors in the US are Black women
Road to medical school was not straight forward. However, I am grateful for what those setbacks taught me and prepared me for as it relates to my future career.
In 2022 decided to open my own private practice. With that comes many challenges as medical field is constantly changing.
