Inspiring Conversations with Vernita Buie of For Your Adrenaline Fitness & Travel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vernita Buie.

Hi Vernita, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Vernita “Tia” Buie, born and raised in Liberty City in Miami. I completed my early education through homeschooling and went on to earn multiple degrees in healthcare and leadership. Today, I’m the founder of For Your Adrenaline Fitness & Travel, a wellness and adventure brand that operates in two powerful ways:

• Fitness & wellness coaching based virtually in Atlanta, Miami and
• Travel experiences curated for clients worldwide, headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida.

Even though I work with clients everywhere, South Florida remains the heartbeat of my story, it’s where my resilience, creativity, and passion for global exploration began. As an independent travel business owner partnered with InteleTravel as my host agency, I design transformative experiences rooted in movement, spirituality, adventure, and healing which I call the “Global Healing Guide” journey. Whether I’m coaching someone through wellness goals in Atlanta or guiding them to life-changing destinations around the world, my mission is to help people explore places and practices that elevate their spirit, expand their mindset, and reconnect them with purpose.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all: my road has been anything but smooth. My journey has been built on resilience, faith, and choosing myself over and over again. I had to overcome numerous personal, financial, and emotional challenges to reach my current position. One of my biggest obstacles was learning how to rebuild my life while working multiple jobs, raising a family, and trying to figure out who I was spiritually and professionally. I went through many seasons where life demanded strength I didn’t know I had, balancing long hours in healthcare, pursuing my education, healing from past relationships, and still showing up for my kids and my goals.

There were times I felt burnt out, unsupported, misunderstood, or overlooked. There were financial struggles, self-doubt, and moments where I questioned if I should keep going. Starting a business while working full-time in healthcare and training in fitness wasn’t easy either. Being a virtual entrepreneur means you don’t always have a blueprint you have to create your own lane. But every challenge reshaped me. Instead of breaking me, it elevated me. The struggles taught me to trust God, trust my intuition, and trust the process. They forced me to grow, to ground myself spiritually, and to build a brand that is rooted in purpose. My road hasn’t been smooth, but it has been transformational and that’s exactly why I guide others today. My story shows that you can start over, evolve, and rise again, no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through.

As you know, we’re big fans of For Your Adrenaline Fitness & Travel. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
For Your Adrenaline Fitness & Travel is a dual-focused wellness and travel company based in Miami and Atlanta, specializing in virtual fitness coaching, aerial and pole instruction, and curated global travel experiences. On the fitness side, I draw on my Bachelor’s degree in Sports & Health Science to provide structured movement training, strength and wellness programs, and specialized aerial and pole classes that empower women to reconnect with their bodies. My introduction to pole began during my recovery from postpartum depression, which taught me the power of movement as a tool for healing and confidence building an insight that now shapes the way I support my clients. I also hold an MBA in Healthcare Administration, which allows me to bring a strong understanding of health, healing, and overall wellness into the business side of my work. On the travel side, my services are headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, where I partner with InteleTravel to design personalized, transformational itineraries for clients worldwide. What differentiates my business is the unique integration of Flight + Fitness offering both physical and experiential wellness solutions that help women grow, reset, and elevate in every area of their lives.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Miami is the culture, the energy, and the way the city embraces diversity. Miami has a rhythm that stays in you no matter where you move: it’s a place full of passion, creativity, and people who know how to hustle and reinvent themselves. Growing up in Liberty City shaped my work ethic and resilience, and I carry that spirit with me everywhere. What I like least is the fast pace that sometimes makes it hard for people to slow down, breathe, and truly connect, but even that has taught me the importance of grounding myself and finding balance.
