Hi Robert, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Working as a Physician Associate in Emergency Medicine, I was used to working several 12 hr shifts. Although I enjoy helping people in my career, I felt that I wasn’t getting the most out of life. I enjoyed leisurely activities such as sporting events, movies, concerts, the occasional night club and other events. However, I wasn’t attending these events as much as I would’ve liked to and I felt like I was living a monotonous life. I would wake up, go to work, come home, rinse and repeat. I blamed my lifestyle on work until I realized that I wasn’t making the activities that I enjoy a priority. I then took an initiative to do so by manually scheduling the events that I enjoy. As a result, I was enjoying myself, experiencing new and exciting activities and felt like I was living again. One day, I asked myself what If there was a platform that I could go to, search for all my favorite events, conveniently schedule the event and receive reminders so I never miss out? After some research and development, I built Schedulesite.com.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This road was not smooth at all. My background was in the medical field, and I had a huge learning curve as I broke into the tech industry. I had a lot of bumps and bruises and lost a lot of time and money from my lack of experience in dealing with developers. However, I was a fast learner and was very resourceful.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In my professional career, I worked as a Physician Associate for 24 years. The first half of my career, I practiced in cardiothoracic surgery, clinical and interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology. The second half of my career I transitioned into Emergency Medicine and currently work at a level 2 trauma center. Furthermore, I achieved great success as a real estate investor in Miami. Now, I am a Tech entrepreneur as the founder of Schedulesite.com.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
My industry has a bright future in the next 5-10 years. The global events industry is expected to grow from 958 billion dollars to 1.9 Trillion dollars by 2028 alone. The biggest shift in this industry will be Ai enabling the automation of scheduling media. Soon, you’ll be able to voice command Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant to add a specific Football or Basketball game to your calendar and it will be executed. This could expose schedulesite.com to potentially 1.75 billion active users of these platforms collectively causing massive user base growth.
