Life & Work with Claire Pate of Orlando,FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Pate.

Hi Claire, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a current upcoming creative director and stylist that goes by the name “TopFlight”. TopFlight started out as a nickname around 2022 the name is primarily connected to my unique style and creative expression.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For myself I can say that my journey to get to where I’m at currently has been challenging however, I find beauty in struggles because you are pushing yourself to limits that you’ve never seen before. The best way I can describe my journey is to the equivalent of a slow burn. I believe one my biggest obstacles currently is myself, at times self doubt can take over and make me second guess my abilities. Luckily in the end I’ve been able to prevail through it all.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My current focus is in creative direction for photography. I’m currently looking to venture out into styling soon I’m in the process of working to become more knowledgeable with the fashion industry and current trends, understanding patters, stitching, and things of that nature. I’m really most proud of how far this brand has come and the attention that’s it’s gained in such a short period of time. I truly believe as long as I continue to poor into my craft it will take me places. What I’ve associated with my brand is an airplane which is connected to my slogan I like to use which is “stay fly” to me “stay fly” means to to always be your authentic self no matter what. Turbulence is the price you pay for flying high but it’s important to stay the course because eventually you will make it to your destination safely. I truly believe what sets me apart from others is that I’m not trying to portray to be something that I’m not I value and take pride in being my authentic self every step of the way on this journey.

What were you like growing up?
Since being a little girl I’ve always been outgoing and charismatic. Being that I’m an only child at times it would take a second to warm up in environments but once I got comfortable it was up from there. Over the years my interests have been all over place for me. I can say younger me would definitely be extremely amazed and proud of who she has become. Which is why I believe it’s so important to put my best foot forward in what ever I do because I want to be something that my younger self can be honored and proud of.
