Hi Rachel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After experiencing the benefits of Halotherapy with my children years ago at a Salt Therapy Center in North Miami that did not re-open after COVID, I knew it was something special that we needed here in the Miami area. The salt therapy alleviates skin irritations such as eczema, congestion from colds, sinus and allergy issues. It is an anti-bacterial protection for your lungs that helps with overall respiratory health. Many people feel better after one session depending on the severity of their condition while others benefit from weekly sessions.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Opening a new business has many challenges from keeping contractors within budget, completing the work timely, spreading the word to the community and educating people about the benefits of Halotherapy. Also, insurance in the US does not cover this treatment, while in Europe and Canada it is a popular treatment for respiratory and skin aliments.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Holistic Salt Therapy Center is a wellness center designed to promote relaxation, rejuvenation and overall well-being through the natural benefits of Halotherapy, infrared therapy, red light therapy and more! We have a large communal space that we offer classes such as teen/adult yoga, kids yoga, sound healing and group/corporate salt sessions. We also have a family room for little ones to play while receiving the Halotherapy treatment and private therapy rooms. We are a sanctuary for people of all ages to come and heal.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We want to spread the word about Halotherapy to everyone! In the next 5-10 years we want Halotherapy to be a known household treatment for everyone.
