Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Bonilla.
Hi Diego, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My dedication to visual storytelling began organically, driven by the energy of action sports. Equipped with my first handycam, I honed early skills in videography and post-production by filming and editing dynamic skateboarding content. This passion seamlessly extended into photography. A foundational college course provided the technical bedrock, which I immediately applied through extensive experimentation, initially focusing on action sports, then moving into the automotive sector (a key focus today). My experience is deliberately broad, spanning products, events, music, and portraiture. This strategic diversification ensures I bring a well-rounded and adaptable creative perspective to every project before committing to the areas where I can deliver maximum impact.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was not always smooth. I had to learn some things on my own especially in videography when it came to proper use of lighting, settings, and composition. But overall happy with the results.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My expertise spans graphic design, photography, and video creation, forming a cohesive approach to visual communication. While I wasn’t always inclined toward the creative arts, my time in college served as a pivotal moment, encouraging me to break out of my shell and fundamentally shift my perspective. This new openness provided me with fresh ways of seeing the world, which I now directly apply to my work. This evolution allows me to bring a unique blend of technical skill and newfound creative insight to every project across all three disciplines, delivering versatile and compelling visual solutions.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Aside from being a passionate creative content creator. I do enjoy spending time with family and friends, easy going, bit of a gamer when I have some down time, and still love to skateboard.
