Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Price.
Hi Adrian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Barbados with two passions, sports and design. Volleyball took me around the world, while architecture offered a completely different kind of excitement: imagining spaces and bringing ideas to life. Over time, design pulled ahead as the dream I couldn’t ignore.
My education and early career took me from Barbados to Jamaica and eventually to Miami. Each place shaped me, not just as a designer, but as a person. My journey had its share of setbacks and detours, but those moments pushed me forward towards my dreams.
After earning my master’s degree in Miami, I spent years refining my craft and working on impactful commercial and civic projects across South Florida and internationally. I learned how much architecture can influence communities, movement, and experience, far beyond just walls and structure.
Eventually, the calling became clear: it was time to build something of my own. That’s how Price Architecture Studio (PAStudio) was born. A firm built from resilience, culture, and the belief that design should feel personal.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. There were financial hurdles, tough decisions, and moments when the future felt uncertain. I faced situations where plans collapsed and I had to start over, more than once.
But I learned that setbacks don’t define your path; they shape your purpose. Those challenges taught me perseverance, patience, and how to listen to my own voice.
Those experiences now influence the way I lead, with empathy, transparency, and a genuine commitment to the clients who trust PAStudio with their vision.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
PAStudio is a Miami-based architecture and design practice working across commercial, municipal, and residential projects. We offer complete design services, including feasibility studies, space planning, tenant build-outs, and construction administration.
What we’re really known for, though, is the experience. When you work with PAStudio, the process is collaborative and personal, built around understanding how people want to live, work, or feel in a space. We don’t design for the sake of design; we design for the people who will experience it every day.
I also bring a global perspective rooted in my background, studying and practicing in the Caribbean and the U.S. That cultural mix helps us to think outside the box while staying grounded in technical excellence and functionality.
Brand-wise, PAStudio is modern, human-focused, and proudly Black-owned. I’m proud that the brand represents authenticity, a blend of creativity, culture, and purpose. And honestly, we’re just getting started.
We’re here to design spaces that connect with people, spaces that feel good, work well, and leave a lasting impression. And we’re excited for what’s ahead.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
It’s hard to say with certainty because things are changing so quickly. Architecture, like many other industries, is shifting quickly, especially with new technology like AI entering the space. There’s real potential for more efficient workflows and faster project delivery, but we need to approach it with balance.
Great architecture isn’t just a product of software or speed. It’s about feeling. It’s emotional. It’s rooted in understanding what a space should do for the people who use it.
At PAStudio, we love innovation, but tech will never replace the personal relationships and storytelling that guide good design. As the tools evolve, the goal remains the same: create beautiful spaces that have character and serve their users.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the journey matters just as much as the result. PAStudio exists because of every twist, lesson, and comeback along the way.
