Berachiah Joachim of Palm Beach, Florida on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Berachiah Joachim and have shared our conversation below.

Berachiah, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, I recently graduated from grad school a few months back and every time I think about that journey and how much grit it took me to complete it, just makes me so proud!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Thank you for having me. My name is Berachiah Joachim. I was born and raised in South Florida. I come from a Haitian background, so I am Haitian American. Professionally, I have worked in healthcare operations for nearly a decade. Beyond my work in healthcare, I’m also a nano influencer and social media content creator, where I share lifestyle, beauty, wellness, and motivational content that inspires others to show up confidently, both personally and professionally. What makes my journey unique is how I’ve been able to merge purpose and creativity, using my platform to highlight balance, authenticity, and growth in everyday life.

Whether in the workplace or online, my goal is the same: to uplift, inform, and connect with people in ways that leave a meaningful impact.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the one I have with myself. Over time, I’ve learned that self-awareness and self-respect are the foundation for every other relationship, personal or professional. Learning to set boundaries, celebrate small wins, and show myself grace through challenges has helped me grow into someone more confident, grounded, and purpose-driven.

That inner relationship has influenced how I lead, create, and connect with others, it reminds me that authenticity starts from within.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There was a point in my journey where I felt completely overwhelmed, balancing work, personal goals, and the pressure to keep everything together. I questioned whether all the effort was worth it and if I was really making a difference.

What kept me from giving up was remembering why I started. I realized that growth doesn’t always look glamorous, it’s often uncomfortable and uncertain. But every setback taught me something that made me stronger, more disciplined, and more grounded in purpose.

That season reminded me that perseverance isn’t about never feeling discouraged, it’s about choosing to keep going, even when you do.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies the healthcare industry tells itself is that efficiency and empathy can’t coexist. There’s often this belief that to be productive, processes have to come before people, but that mindset misses the entire point of healthcare. True efficiency isn’t about cutting corners; it’s about creating systems that serve both patients and professionals with compassion and clarity.

Another common misconception is that change has to come from the top. In reality, some of the most meaningful improvements start with the people on the ground, those who see the daily challenges firsthand. Empowering voices at every level is what truly drives progress.

At the end of the day, healthcare isn’t just about numbers or metrics, it’s about people, and that’s something I never want the industry to lose sight of

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m fully present, whether that’s spending quiet time alone to reset, being near the water, or simply unplugging from the noise of everyday life. Those moments of stillness remind me to breathe, to be grateful, and to trust God and the timing of where I am.

I also find peace in creating, whether it’s developing content, writing, or brainstorming new ideas. There’s something grounding about turning thoughts into something tangible and meaningful. It’s my way of reconnecting with purpose and finding calm in creativity.
