Hi Dr. David, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my first practice in 1980 in East Rockaway New York. Over several years, it grew to become one of the largest chiropractic and acupuncture clinics in the northeast United States. In 1990, I began to create multi-discipline clinics that included Medical Physicians, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, and Physical Therapist all within the same facility. In several years I had 24 multi-discipline clinics all within NY state. In 1997 I earned a master’s in science for Acupuncture.
In early 2000, I began to develop an improved therapy system to treat the spine and discs. At the time, Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression was becoming the treatment of choice for spine related issues. However, the systems being used were limited in their ability to adapt to a patient’s specific spinal needs. That is when I began developing the Bass AntalgicTrak. This improved system enabled the doctor to specifically position sections of the machine to match the patient’s specific spinal distortions and needs. It also enabled the doctor to move the patient’s spine into different positions during the decompression. These articulating sections enhance spinal gliding for an improved patient outcome. My new system was FDA-Cleared in 2005. In 2006 we began to sell them around the world. In 2009 I opened my Coral Springs Decompression clinic (The Neck and Back Pain Institute) where we use the Antalgic-Trak to treat spine and disc injuries. We have since become to “go-to” clinic for spine and disc injuries.
Currently, Antalgic-Traks are in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Caribbean, Great Brittain, France, Spain, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Cypress, Greece, Kuwait, Dubai, Korea and Azerbaijan.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, every journey has its obstacles. In my case dealing with the bureaucracy of the FDA slowed down our development momentum. Then going through the CE safety certification as well as the regulations involved with international shipping and transport all slow down growth momentum. After jumping through all those hoops, our growth and sales around the world grew year after year.
