Today we’d like to introduce you to Chabeli Castillo.
Hi Chabeli, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began long before I ever sold my first property. I was born in Cuba and came to the U.S. at 18, chasing the same dream that brings so many to this country — the freedom to create your own future. Growing up under a totalitarian regime taught me to value opportunity, to be thankful for even the simplest things in life, and never take freedom for granted.
I feel grateful every day — for the privilege of living in this country, for the opportunity to build a career I love, and for being able to serve others through my work in real estate. Those values of gratitude, resilience, and hard work have guided me since the very beginning.
I began my career in real estate in 2014, immersing myself in the industry and learning every aspect of the business — from leases and valuations to investment strategies and negotiations. Every transaction, big or small, became a stepping stone. I said yes to every opportunity, learned from every client, and built my business one relationship at a time.
Over time, my curiosity for how businesses grow and how spaces shape that growth evolved into a deep passion for commercial real estate — especially the industrial market, which I found to be the most dynamic and resilient sector in Miami-Dade. What truly inspires me is realizing that every warehouse, every deal, represents a business owner’s dream — whether expanding operations, securing their first distribution space, or selling an asset they’ve built over decades.
Today, I specialize in the sale and leasing of warehouse, office, and retail properties across South Florida, with a strong focus on Miami-Dade’s industrial and logistics markets — areas like Doral, Hialeah, and Medley. I help local business owners, investors, and tenants make smart, strategic decisions, bringing clarity, creativity, and care to every deal.
Along the way, I’ve been honored to be recognized as a Top Producer at Beachfront Realty, one of South Florida’s largest brokerages, and to have been featured in outlets like the Miami Herald. But beyond awards or milestones, what means the most to me is trust — knowing my clients choose to work with me again and again because they know I’ll always put their interests first.
Every client I work with represents a story of perseverance and growth — something I deeply relate to. My journey, like theirs, has been defined by resilience and the pursuit of opportunity. For me, commercial real estate isn’t just about buildings; it’s about people, possibility, and purpose.
Miami gave me a new beginning, and through my work, I strive to give back — helping local businesses expand, fueling economic growth, and shaping a stronger, more vibrant city I’m proud to call home.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In real estate, rejection is part of the journey. I’ve knocked on countless doors, made hundreds of calls, and heard far more “no’s” than “yeses.” But every obstacle became fuel to keep going. I learned early on that perseverance, consistency, and attitude make all the difference — you have to believe in yourself long before anyone else does.
There were moments of doubt, especially in the beginning, but I’ve always chosen to see challenges as opportunities to grow. Each setback taught me something new — about business, about people, and about myself. Those lessons built the resilience that defines who I am today.
I truly believe what shapes a person isn’t how easy their path has been, but how they respond when things get difficult. And every step of the way, I’ve reminded myself: when there’s a will, there’s a way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Commercial Real Estate Broker Associate and CCIM Designee based in Miami, specializing in the sale and leasing of warehouse, office, and retail properties across South Florida. My primary focus is on the industrial and logistics sector — one of the most dynamic and resilient markets in Miami-Dade, particularly in areas like Doral, Hialeah, and Medley.
What I love most about my work is that every deal tells a story. Behind every warehouse or investment property is a business owner’s dream — expanding their operations, securing their first distribution space, or selling an asset they’ve built over decades. I see my role as more than a broker; I’m an advisor, a connector, and a problem-solver.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve earned from my clients — many of whom I’ve represented through multiple transactions over the years. That trust is built on consistency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to always put their best interests first.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine strategic expertise with empathy. I approach each deal not just from a financial perspective, but from a human one — understanding the “why” behind every decision. My clients know I’ll go the extra mile, that I’ll negotiate as if it were my own property, and that I’ll handle every step with professionalism, discretion, and care.
For me, commercial real estate isn’t just about square footage or cap rates — it’s about helping people and businesses grow, creating opportunity, and contributing to the economic fabric of the city that gave me a new beginning.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
To me, the best mentor has always been hands-on experience. Every deal, every challenge, and every client interaction has taught me something that no classroom or textbook ever could. Real estate is an industry you learn by doing — by showing up, asking questions, and staying curious.
That said, I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with incredible professionals who have shared their knowledge and inspired me along the way. I believe mentorship doesn’t always come from one person — sometimes it’s built through the collective wisdom of those you meet, the examples you observe, and the relationships you nurture.
When it comes to networking, my advice is simple: lead with authenticity. Build real relationships, not just connections. Listen more than you speak, add value whenever you can, and always follow through. In this business, reputation is everything — and genuine relationships will take you farther than any sales pitch ever could.
