From Corporate Restructures to People-Driven Profits
I grew up surrounded by entrepreneurs in Colombia, witnessing up close the impact that people can make in a business, for better or worse, when my mother lost her business due to the lack of talent retention, I didn’t just see the financial loss, I saw the human cost and it deeply impacted my family, so I understand what it is to lose a business and it became my vision to be able to help businesses not survive but thrive.
Years later, after a decade-long corporate HR journey in the U.S., I experienced my own moment of transformation when I was laid off. Instead of seeing it as an ending, I viewed it as a calling. I launched DV HR Solutions, a boutique HR consulting firm based in Miramar, Florida, with one mission: to help businesses grow by putting their people first.
I developed my proprietary methodology, The People & Profit Code™, a framework that empowers companies to align culture, leadership, compliance, and strategy to unlock growth. Today, I support Small and Medium size business and growing companies across the country not just with HR strategies, but with mindset shifts that turn teams into high-performing assets. I’m proud of the results we have been able to accomplish and my mission became to help as many companies go to their next level.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Even though I come from a family of entrepreneurs, I never had a roadmap handed to me. In many ways, I had to unlearn what I thought I knew about business and leadership and rebuild everything from the ground up. There was also a mindshift and a transition period to go from being an employee all my life to now owning my own business, it requires a whole different set of skills and mind shift.
When I launched DV HR Solutions, I had the passion, the experience, and a vision to help businesses succeed through their people but I didn’t have the systems, network, or confidence that many assume comes naturally to entrepreneurs. Getting clients was a challenge. Building trust with decision-makers wasn’t easy. And as a Latina, woman I also had to navigate rooms where I was often the only one who looked or sounded like me.
The biggest shift came when I realized that I didn’t need to have everything figured out. I just needed to take the next step with faith, clarity, and integrity. That mindset opened doors, aligned me with incredible clients, and helped me build a brand rooted in purpose, not perfection.
