Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia LeBlanc.
Hi Julia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I knew at 14 years old that I wanted to be a physical therapist. By 24, I had earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and was ready to get out there and help people. Fifteen years later, I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training because I felt called to do even more—and in 2024, I became a Reiki Master.
I’ve always believed that my purpose is to spread a little more love and light. If you talk to the people who know me best, they’ll tell you the same thing—I care deeply, and I’m passionate about what I do. I want to inspire others, which is one of the reasons I wrote “Why Mommy Does Yoga”. Teaching my own children about self-love and self-care feels essential to helping them grow into their best selves.
Now, my goal is to create a concierge wellness experience where I can help others find more peace, love, and balance in their lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey between those years—and the years that followed—was far from simple.
Life brought challenges I never could’ve imagined. I experienced the pain and trauma of domestic violence, the heartbreak of divorce, and the trials of single parenthood. There were moments when I felt completely broken—trying to rebuild myself while holding everything together for my children.
And still, somehow, love found its way back in. I met someone who reminded me what it meant to feel safe, valued, and seen. Together, we began building something new—a blended family filled with laughter, growth, and endless lessons in patience and compassion.
Professionally, there were obstacles too—tough jobs, difficult people, even licensing issues that tested my resolve and forced me to rediscover my strength. Yet every challenge taught me something invaluable: resilience isn’t about never falling—it’s about always finding your way back up.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
With nearly two decades of experience as a physical therapist, yoga instructor, and wellness expert, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals move, heal, and thrive—while continuing to grow and learn myself.
I am well known in the local community for my expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation, athletic recovery, and pelvic health. At Flaherty Physical Therapy, I launched the Pelvic Health Program after completing advanced training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute (Levels 1 & 2A). I have a special passion for supporting women through the prenatal-to-postpartum journey, helping them regain strength, mobility, and confidence. As a mother of three, I understand firsthand how transformative—and challenging—this season of life can be, and I am honored to guide others through it.
My clinical background includes manual therapy, dry needling, spinal manipulation, the Graston Technique, and rehabilitation for spinal dysfunction, as well as comprehensive post-surgical recovery care.
I also integrate mindful movement and energy healing into my practice. Recognizing the profound connection between physical movement and emotional well-being, I bring together a deep understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention with the art of energy flow—helping patients restore balance in both body and mind.
As Clinic Manager at Flaherty Physical Therapy in Northborough, I am proud to foster a culture of clinical excellence, mentorship, and professional growth among our team. My mission is to elevate patient care by merging traditional rehabilitation techniques with holistic wellness practices—empowering every individual to live with greater strength, awareness, and love.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?

To Dr. Kristen Poe— my best friend, confidante, and a brilliant, empowering woman. You are an incredible force of nature and my favorite person.
To Shawn Shaw, my yoga mentor and friend — thank you for always reminding me to slow down and take care of myself.
To Leo McCarthy, my Reiki mentor, guide, and true friend — our conversations on our podcast, *Mystery of the Soul*, are some of my favorite moments. Thank you for the laughter, the wisdom, and the gentle reminders to breathe.
To my grandparents, who always believed in me and encouraged me to follow my heart.
To my children, who blessed me simply by choosing me to be their mother. My world is infinitely more beautiful with you in it.
And to my mom and dad, the embodiment of unconditional love. You have stood by me through every season of life, teaching me to believe in myself and in God. For that, and for everything, I am forever grateful.
