Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlie Pitts.
Hi Ashlie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Ashlie N. Pitts, known professionally as Ashlie Nicole, and I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am the proud mother of four amazing children; Mikayla (24), Myaih (23), Tommiria (15), and Tommonie (12) and the grandmother of one precious grandson, MaKari (2). They are my greatest motivation and the heartbeat behind everything I do.
My story is one marked by resilience, faith, and an unshakable determination to rise above what was meant to break me. I didn’t come from a perfect background, and my path has been far from smooth. I’ve walked through seasons of trauma, heartache, rebuilding, and rediscovering who I truly am. For a long time, I survived on strength and faith I didn’t even know I had, but survival was just the beginning.
I started my journey simply trying to create a better life for my children, but along the way, I realized God was shaping me into a woman called to empower others. Every setback became a lesson, every heartbreak became a testimony, and every challenge pushed me toward my purpose. I learned that even in my lowest moments, God was rewriting my story in ways I couldn’t yet see.
Today, I stand as a business owner, visionary, domestic violence advocate, licensed evangelist, author, mentor, mother, grandmother, and fashion stylist roles I carry with honor and humility. My life’s work is rooted in helping others rebuild their confidence, reclaim their identity, and rise into the strongest version of themselves. I don’t just lead from success; I lead from lived experience, from healing, and from the strength of a woman who refused to stay broken.
My story is still being written, but one truth remains constant:
I am living proof that you can rise from anything and become everything God created you to be.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth. My journey has been shaped by moments that tested my strength, my faith, and my identity. I’ve faced emotional, mental, and spiritual battles that could have easily left me stuck in survival mode. From navigating traumatic experiences to rebuilding my life as a single mother, I encountered seasons where I had to hold myself together when everything around me felt like it was falling apart.
There were times I questioned my worth, times I struggled in silence, and times when starting over felt exhausting. I had to learn how to heal while still showing up for my children, how to walk away from what wounded me, and how to trust God again after being broken in ways I didn’t expect. Financial challenges, emotional recovery, and rediscovering who I was outside of pain were all very real parts of my journey.
But every obstacle also revealed something within me resilience, clarity, courage, and a deeper relationship with God. Those struggles became the very foundation of my purpose. They didn’t just shape the woman I am today; they sharpened her.
Through it all, I learned that healing is not a straight path, but it is possible and that even the hardest chapters can become the most powerful parts of your story. And ultimately, I learned that my obstacles were never just about me, they were God’s way of shaping my testimony so I could reach back, lift another woman up, and become the lifeline she needs. I survived so she could live.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am best known for my work in fashion and empowerment. I am the owner of Ashlie Nicole Apparel, a brand built to help women feel confident, stylish, and powerful in their own skin. Fashion has always been a part of my identity, and through my brand, I’ve been able to fuse purpose with style creating pieces that reflect strength, resilience, and femininity. Right now, I’m also in the process of rebranding, elevating my business to align with the woman I’ve become. This next phase of Ashlie Nicole Apparel is more intentional, more upscale, and more connected to my mission of helping women rise and reclaim every part of themselves. My goal is to bring fashion, faith, and empowerment into one cohesive lifestyle brand.
In addition to fashion, I’m known for curating powerful, transformative experiences for Entrepreneurs. One of my signature events is Brunch with Bosses, a gathering created to inspire business owners to network, learn business structure, securing the bag, marketing/advertising and trademarking/business law. After taking time to restructure and elevate it, Brunch with Bosses will officially return in 2027, bigger and more purposeful than ever.
I also host meaningful healing-centered events such as:
Sip, Paint & Release: I Survived So SHE Could LIVE: a therapeutic experience where women express their journeys through art, release heavy emotions, and stand in their truth together.
Chat, Tea & Crumpets: an intimate, soft-space conversation series designed for real talk, healing, and sisterhood in a safe, loving environment.
In alignment with my mission of healing and empowerment, I am also the author of Rise and Reclaim: A Survivor’s Healing Journey, a 13-week devotional journal that walks individuals through reclaiming their identity after trauma. One of the core scriptures woven throughout this journey is Isaiah 61:3, which speaks to God giving “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” This scripture captures the heart of the devotional, guiding readers from the pain of what they’ve endured into the beauty of who they are becoming. The journal offers daily encouragement, reflective prompts, and faith-based guidance designed to support survivors emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
What I am most proud of is that God allowed me to transform my pain into purpose and because of that, my journey now helps other women recognize their worth, reclaim their lives, and walk in their own healing. I am proud to stand as a mother, a grandmother, an author, a stylist, and an advocate, showing women what rising truly looks like.
My work has also led me to speak on various platforms where I share my testimony, empower survivors, and advocate for healing and identity restoration.
What sets me apart is that everything I do whether fashion, advocacy, writing, or women’s experiences . It comes from a place of lived experience, authenticity, and purpose. I don’t just create products or events; I create spaces for transformation. I lead with heart, with healing, and with the belief that when a woman finds her strength, she changes her entire world.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Although I’m very open about my journey, something that might surprise people is how much of my healing I process quietly. People see my strength, my transparency, and the way I pour into others, but they don’t always realize that I fight most of my battles privately with God long before I ever speak about them. I’m naturally reserved with my own emotions, and I often carry them to God first before I release them to the world.
Another surprising thing is that many of my ideas and events aren’t planned in a traditional way, they come to me in random, quiet moments. I can be driving, cleaning, or simply sitting alone, and God will drop a full vision into my spirit. A lot of what people see as strategy actually begins as spontaneous inspiration. My creativity is deeply intuitive, and that divine flow is what fuels the work I do.
