Conversations with Icon303

Today we’d like to introduce you to Icon303.

Hi icon303, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is icon303. I am a poet, an artist, and an entrepreneur. I grew up rough in upstate New York, surrounded by chaos and struggle, where creativity became both my shield and my sword. I endured abuse, instability, and uncertainty, but through all of that I found an outlet in words and art. They became the language of my survival and later, the architecture of my success.

I write poetry that comes directly from the heart, unfiltered and unapologetic. My art is a reflection of raw emotion, often bending between beauty and pain, and my brand exists to amplify voices that deserve to be heard but rarely are. I have written fifteen books, released a major art project, and built a marketing and management company from the ground up.

Everything I do, whether it is a poem, a campaign, or a piece of visual art, is built around the same idea, that creativity should not just exist for personal expression but should also serve as a force of healing and empowerment. What makes my work unique is that it is not detached from life, it is life. Every line, every brushstroke, every decision is a direct continuation of everything I have lived through and everything I am still becoming.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Constant struggles and obstacles to come across. But that’s part of the beauty of it all, isn’t it? The experience of having gone through some of the things I have really sets you up to be fearless in your future endeavors, having dealt with and overcome things scarier, stronger, harder, and more hopeless. From drug addiction to homelessness, abuse to loss, its all made me impervious to feeling fearful in my projects, writing, and business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
To start, as a poet, I just published my 15th book and am close to releasing the next one. having the immortality of passing my books on to the next generation, my kids and future grandkids, is something that gives me an immense sense of accomplishment while quietly humbling me. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the amazing people that have helped me and pushed me to be more and do more.

Shortly after my third book, I started my art project that is unlike anything else in the world. This project has been a huge success for me and a huge part of what brings me pride. Anyone can find out more about it on my website.

And recently, I started a marketing company that has been doing very well. Having been able to be in a position to do that is something that I never thought was possible, and now that it is, I fully appreciate every moment of it and try to bring as much joy to those around me as they have brought to me.

What’s next?
I think the future might seem a little cloudy to the best mediums right now. I think that collectively and personally that all of our plans for the future should include speaking up and speaking out louder than ever, looking out for the people to our left and right and below while we fight those above, and being the good we want to see.

Continually building the business and expanding my art projects are also on that list, as well as putting out as many books and I possibly can.
