Daily Inspiration: Meet Agnessa Elman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Agnessa Elman.

Hi Agnessa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Movement has always been a huge part of my life. I did ballet my entire life, dancing internationally and training with various ballet schools across the east and west coast. I earned my college degree in dance, and through ballet, I was first introduced to Pilates. During COVID, my ballet career and passion shifted, and I discovered a deeper love for fitness and wellness.

Before teaching Pilates, I worked as an athletic trainer and nutrition assistant for D1 college sports teams, including the University of Washington football program. I’ve always loved the fast-paced, dynamic energy of that environment, and Pilates gave me a new way to channel it.

As an ex-ballerina and now Pilates instructor, I wanted to keep growing and finding ways to make Pilates and wellness exciting. With cars being such a big part of the Miami lifestyle, I thought, why not bring those worlds together? That’s how SuperCars & Pilates was born. It is an opportunity to blend two communities, create high-end coed experiences, and celebrate the shared dynamic energy that exists between cars, wellness, and community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges has been finding people who truly support and believe in my idea of SuperCars & Pilates. When you’re creating something new, not everyone understands the vision right away. I’ve also faced challenges with vendors saying no or not taking the concept seriously at first. But each “no” has pushed me to grow, refine the experience, and prove that SuperCars & Pilates is something special and worth believing in.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Outside of teaching Pilates, I also work with young ballet students, which has been such a meaningful part of my journey. I’ve always been passionate about helping others and creating community. What sets me apart is my willingness to take risks and to think beyond traditional wellness spaces. I’ve found a way to blend different passions into a cohesive experience. That’s how SuperCars & Pilates came to life. It is a concept that blends two worlds you’d never expect, creating a high-end, coed experience that celebrates both movement and lifestyle.

SuperCars & Pilates is about more than just a Pilates event; it’s about ambition and drive. It gives people something to get excited about, to work hard for, and to look forward to. It’s that feeling of pushing yourself, showing up, and being surrounded by energy, passion, and purpose.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I’m currently working on my third SuperCars & Pilates event, and one thing I’ve learned is, unless you get a “no,” it’s worth asking. You never know what doors might open just by asking the question.
