Today we’d like to introduce you to Solune.
Hi Solune, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Our Story:
Solune was born from the union of two unique musical journeys.
Inaru began her path at a music academy in Venezuela in 2016, while Gaby started teaching herself music in 2018. Each developed her own career—Inaru moved to Chile, performing at renowned local venues, while Gaby built her scene in Miami, where she co-managed her own party series in Wynwood alongside two partners until early 2024.
The universe brought us together through music in June 2024, when Gaby discovered one of Inaru’s DJ sets on YouTube through a close friend. Captivated by her sound, she followed Inaru on Instagram, and soon after, they connected. When Inaru arrived in Miami in August 2024, the two played together for the first time at a pool party they were both invited to. The chemistry behind the decks was instant—so much that “Solune” was born.
The name Solune means Sun + Moon, representing our balance, our contrast, and the energy we create together. In our first year as Solune, we’ve shared stages with artists such as Sébastien Léger, Simon Doty, and Eelke Kleijn, and performed at iconic Miami venues including Boho House, Do Not Sit On The Furniture, Joia Beach, Mazuma, and La Otra (Terrace).
We also launched our own event series: “Ciclos” for nighttime parties and “Ciclos Wellness” for daytime, body-and-mind experiences combining music and movement.
Now, we’re focusing on producing and releasing our own music while continuing to grow our community of music lovers and conscious souls.
As we like to say:
“Música para oídos inteligentes.”
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s actually been a very smooth and organic journey for us. We’ve learned to trust the process instead of rushing it, and things seem to align perfectly when they’re meant to. From the first moment, we’ve felt a powerful energy surrounding and connecting us, and that same energy resonates with those around us.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Our main goal has always been to connect people through music. That’s what drives us every time we play. We love creating an atmosphere where people can feel the music deeply and share that same energy with everyone around them.
People often recognize us for our vibe, the charisma we bring, the energy we share, and the emotional connection we create through our sets. We’re proud of turning our love for music into a lifestyle, learning to trust our intuition, and growing together along the way.
As women, we’ve found strength in sensitivity. It’s taught us to express music with heart, to channel emotion into sound and connect those vibrations with body and soul. For us, that’s what music is all about: a universal language, one we use to help people feel, understand, and connect.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
We believe having a mentor in any career is incredibly valuable, someone you admire who has walked the path before you. But for us, what has worked until now just as well is supporting local artists and connecting with the community around us.
By engaging with the artists we admire and being part of the local scene, we naturally found the group of people who resonate most with our vision. Growing as a team and within a community has been one of the most powerful tools for our development.
We’re still on our journey, and we are always will be, but finding connection and collaboration in our Miami community has been essential to our growth.
