We recently had the chance to connect with Shathagoddess and have shared our conversation below.
Shathagoddess, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of building my brand from the ground up, brick by brick, the part people don’t always see. Behind the scenes, I’m not just producing beats or DJing; I’m constantly creating content, writing an e-book to help other producers navigate the business side, and collaborating with other creatives to bring new ideas to life.
Recently, I started executive producing an EP for an upcoming artist, which felt like a major milestone. It’s one thing to create for yourself, but guiding someone else’s vision and helping them shape their sound, that’s a different kind of fulfillment! These are the foundational stages of my journey where I’m not just building a name, I’m building a legacy. What I’m most proud of is that my work isn’t just about me; it’s about creating a platform that empowers and uplifts other upcoming talent to grow, experiment, and believe in their own voice.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sha, also known as Shathagoddess and DJ SHAWEOUTSIDE!
I’m a Miami-based music producer, DJ, and creative entrepreneur. What makes my brand unique is that I bridge both the creative and business sides of music. I don’t just make beats, I help artists shape their sound, build their brand, and take their careers to the next level.
I’ve sold over 100 beats online, I’m currently producing an EP for an upcoming artist, and writing my first e-book designed to help producers build and grow their brand.
At the heart of everything I do is helping upcoming talent find their sound and showing producers how to turn their hustle into a real business. That’s what makes my story special! I’m not just building my own career, I’m building something that helps the whole community grow.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
As a creative entrepreneur, I used to believe I had to do everything myself from producing, marketing, and managing to all to prove I was capable. But that mindset eventually led to burnout and limited how far I could grow.
Letting go of that need to control everything taught me the beauty of collaboration, trust, and community. I realized that sharing ideas and building with others doesn’t diminish my vision but it actually amplifies it.
Now, I create from a place of peace and purpose. I understand that real success doesn’t come from doing it all alone but from connection, alignment, and allowing others to pour into the vision with you.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There have been moments where I’ve doubted myself — times when the weight of everything made me question if I should keep going. The grind can be heavy when you’re building something from the ground up.
But every time I’m at my lowest, I’ll get a message or comment from someone saying how my music helped them through something. And in that moment, I’m reminded why I started, because music once saved me.
Being a creative isn’t just about what you make, it’s about how you move people. It’s about connection, healing, and purpose. That’s both the price and the privilege: to keep showing up, even when it’s hard, because your gift might be the light someone else needs.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Of course not *laughs*. Shathagoddess is Shathagoddess, and Shamari is Shamari. They’re two completely different energies. It’s kind of like Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana. Same person, different worlds!
Shathagoddess is the performer, the producer, the energy that brings people together through music. Shamari is the thinker, the feeler, the one recharging and creating in silence. Both sides are real… they just shine in different ways.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I was someone who moved with purpose, that I used my gifts to inspire others to believe in themselves and chase their dreams without fear.
I want my story to remind people that you don’t have to fit in to make an impact, you just have to be real, consistent, and true to who you are.
When I’m gone, I hope they say Shathagoddess made people feel something. That my music, my message, and my energy reminded them that being different is powerful — and that no matter what, I stayed authentic through it all.
Because to me, that’s what legacy really means! Staying true to your light, inspiring others to find theirs, and leaving behind something that still speaks, even after you’re gone.
