Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Lauren Paterni of Miami

We recently had the chance to connect with Lauren Paterni and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes. I would. After almost 14 years of experience, I bring a lot to the table on all ends. From Creative to Visual to Marketing and more. I challenge myself to learn more and check myself on the things that I can be doing better. I know the value of what I offer and truly have passion behind it.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Lauren. I am a Wardrobe Stylist with over 14 years of experience. I specialize in E-commerce and product styling for campaigns and commercials. I help top retailers and brands showcase their products in the most appealing and effective way.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My parents were always a huge support and still continue to be. They have always allowed me to be me and had my back.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I think suffering humbles you and shows you how badly you may or may not want something. It opens you up to the reality that you have to fight and fight hard for something you want to accomplish. It can spark a fuel if used properly.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
It really is. What you see is what you get. I am open, almost to a fault and very honest. I pride myself on that.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
I will always regret not taking a chance since you automatically lose if you don’t try. If I never pushed myself to pursue my dreams, I would have really regretted that a lot. I think it’s important to know when it’s time to be selfish and to pursue yourself vs. when it’s time to be selfless and focus on others. I have allowed myself each of those stages of life, with no regrets- just pure lessons learned.
