Hi Steve , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I’ve been in the food tour and fun foodie event space now for a little over 3 and a half years. I recently had repeat food tour guests join me on a foodie event so that the gentleman could propose to the lady. It made me all warm and fuzzy inside and filled me full of gratitude that I have been able to get repeat customers like this. This is just one example of many similar stories of repeat guests.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My business is Hollywood Florida Food Tour, LLC. I started in March 2022 as a means to help the hospitality industry in Hollywood, Florida to recover from the COVID pandemic. I quickly started other walking food tours in the area. Another in Hollywood, along Hollywood Beach’s fabulous Broadwalk, and then at Atlantic Village in Hallandale Beach. That is when I rebranded to South Florida Food Tour. The mission is to assist local hospitality to grow and prosper, and I now do all sorts of fun foodie events, culinary experiences, tastings, pairings, driven tours, evenings with a chef, and so on. I have spent most of my life in South Florida and I have vast knowledge of the area and the history, and absolutely love good food, and good drink, hidden gems, and powerhouse chefs, and I wish I would’ve been in the space my entire career. I am pretty sure my love for South Florida and my passion comes through on every experience that I lead.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Lying, cheating, stealing, being petty, and inflicting unnecessary pain is what breaks the bonds between people. Loyalty, integrity, love, authenticity, gratitude, recognition, and appreciation restores those bonds.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I was severely tested when my former business partner, Marnie, at my previous business, Amplification, Inc., suffered a traumatic brain injury while riding her motorcycle in 2018. I had to support her recovery journey for 19 months with all the financial, emotional, spiritual, and physical bandwidth I had in me. These were dark times. But with meditation, prayers, faith, stubbornness, intention, and the support of friends and family, I prevailed. You can do anything you fully commit to.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I live and breath authenticity and always have. Life is too short.

Life is short. Live, laugh, love. Be genuine. Live with authenticity and integrity. Material things do not matter.
