An Inspired Chat with Jose & Gustavo Meza & Sole of Miami

We recently had the chance to connect with Jose & Gustavo Meza & Sole and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Jose & Gustavo, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
We are walking our path, working hard in our artistic projet

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Cadenza The Group is a string ensemble with a visionary concept built on musical and visual elements via their performances.

With more than 20 years of musical background, their career embodies quality and innovation as they curate remarkable experiences for their programming and events.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
We’ve both learned the most from the people we’ve shared the stage with. Every collaboration from hotel directors and sound engineers to wedding planners and fellow musicians has taught us something unique about professionalism, adaptability, and the value of consistency.

As artists, we believe work isn’t just about discipline; it’s about respect, for time, for people, and for the craft. Watching how others handle pressure, solve problems, and keep their standards high has shaped how we approach every Cadenza performance today.

In short, our greatest teachers have been the experiences and the people who trusted us to make their moments unforgettable.

What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
We used to believe that talent alone would open every door. Early in our journey, we focused almost entirely on perfecting the music, the sound, the technique, the show. But after losing opportunities we thought we were ready for, we realized that talent means little without strategy, communication, and consistency.

That “failure” taught us that art and business must walk together. Now we treat every performance, email, and partnership with the same level of care as our music. It changed everything, not just how we work, but how we grow.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Respect.
It’s at the heart of everything we do, respect for time, for people, for the art, and for the energy shared on stage. In music, every detail matters: how you speak to a planner, how you treat a sound technician, how you honor the moment a couple walks down the aisle.

We’ve built Cadenza on that foundation, the belief that professionalism and kindness amplify any talent. Protecting that culture isn’t negotiable, because it’s what turns a performance into a lasting connection.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
We’re doing what we were born to do, though it took years to understand it. Music was never the “safe” path; it was the one that kept calling us back, no matter how many times we tried to reason our way into something else.

What began as a passion became a purpose: creating moments that move people, reminding them that elegance and emotion can coexist. Nobody told us to build Cadenza; we just couldn’t imagine not doing it.
