We recently had the chance to connect with Viviana Estrada and have shared our conversation below.
Viviana, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely! I would definitely hire me. That’s how I ended up doing what I’m doing now, because I’m always progressing and have always believed in bringing a mix of strategy, creativity, and genuine collaboration to every project I take on.
Before founding Viviana Estrada Life Coaching, I gained valuable experience in corporate America, learning firsthand how organizations and leaders operate, what drives performance, and where challenges often arise. I applied those lessons for years in my own practice, guiding people toward clarity, balance, and personal growth.
Eventually, I felt ready to expand that purpose beyond individual transformation to help organizations and leaders unlock their full potential. That’s when Unlock Engine, where I currently contribute as an associate, came into the picture.
It wasn’t a traditional hiring process, but rather a natural alignment. Being part of both Viviana Estrada Life Coaching and Unlock Engine allows me to leverage my corporate experience alongside personal development expertise to drive organizational growth, truly the best of both worlds. I didn’t have to choose between them; I simply found a way to make them work together.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Viviana Estrada. Years ago, for years I worked in corporate America, and an opportunity to transfer to Asia opened the door to a whole new world for me. In my free time, I began studying classical feng shui, and my fascination led me to explore the deeper roots of Chinese Metaphysics across various fields. Through these studies, I realized that all of us have access to tools that can help us live happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lives.
When I returned to the U.S., I launched Viviana Estrada Life Coaching, guiding individuals through these techniques and offering training classes rooted in my studies. A little more than a year ago, I expanded my mission to the organizational level by joining Unlock Engine as an associate, helping leaders and teams unlock their potential.
I like to think of my work as a bridge combining personal development, strategic insight, and organizational growth empowering people and organizations alike to thrive.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What often breaks the bonds between people is a lack of trust, when expectations are unclear, commitments are unfulfilled, or communication fades. Trust is the glue that allows teams and relationships to thrive, and when it erodes, collaboration suffers.
Restoring those bonds requires intentional action: transparency, consistency, and mutual accountability. Trust is a cornerstone of the E.L.I.A.S. Leadership Model, which inspired the creation of Unlock Engine. E.L.I.A.S. is built on six behavioral pillars, including trust, integrity, and communication, which empower leaders to inspire others, enhance their skills, and increase their likelihood of success. Through this model, Unlock Engine seeks to transform the way people lead, generating impact at both the personal and organizational levels, strengthening individual relationships, and building resilient teams.
I’ve experienced this firsthand in my journey at Unlock Engine, where trust is central to our work. Being relied upon and having the confidence of colleagues and leadership creates a cycle of trust that motivates, empowers, and sustains meaningful connections.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
There’s a part of me that misses the corporate environment, the unique challenges, fast pace, and the opportunities to tackle complex problems. Over the years, though, I’ve grown to deeply value the freedom to manage my own time and prioritize moments with family and friends. That balance has made it clear that a full return to corporate life isn’t the right fit for me.
At the same time, my appreciation for those past experiences is part of what drew me to Unlock Engine. It allows me to stay connected with organizations in the corporate world, apply the lessons I’ve learned, and contribute to meaningful projects, all while maintaining the flexibility and balance I now cherish.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe humans are capable of miracles, even if we cannot fully prove it. Often, the only limits we face are the ones we place on our own minds. The universe holds infinite wisdom, and when we learn to connect with that wisdom through our inner selves, we unlock a profound source of power and possibility.
This belief guides my work at Unlock Engine: fostering trust, nurturing potential, and creating spaces where people feel empowered to surpass what they once thought possible. Sometimes, the most extraordinary outcomes begin simply with believing in the power within us.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I connect with my inner self: a quiet, reflective space where I can listen, recharge, and gain perspective. In these moments, I’m able to step away from the noise of daily life, clarify what truly matters, and reconnect with my own sense of purpose.
This inner connection allows me to approach challenges with greater clarity and empathy, both personally and professionally. At Unlock Engine, I see how nurturing that same awareness in others can foster trust, unlock potential, and create environments where people feel empowered to grow. For me, peace isn’t just a personal state, it’s the foundation that allows meaningful work, authentic leadership, and strong relationships to flourish.
