Good morning Tova, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Good morning! I would say spending quality time with family and friends. I was away traveling for a while, and what I missed most were those deeper connections with the people I care about. I really love being an aunt, so spending time with my nieces and nephews always brings me a lot of joy.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a Miami-based photographer specializing in family, couple, and surprise proposal photography. My style is natural, genuine, and vibrant, and my goal with every session is to capture the joy and connection people share with their loved ones.
I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I truly believe that my work is only as strong as the connection I build with my clients. Making people feel comfortable in front of the camera is something I value deeply. Ultimately, I want my clients to fall in love with their photos – to see how beautiful they are and to smile every time they look at them.
With over 15 years of experience, I bring both confidence and creativity to my work. I enjoy directing people in a way that feels natural and using my eye to highlight their best angles and authentic emotions.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
In 2019, I became really obsessed with hiking the John Muir Trail in California. I ended up hiking a 60 mile portion of it over six days from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite National Park. I spent months preparing and I remember being very nervous and scared when I began. What I learned though was that once you feel called to do something, that the universe and people will help you along. It was the first time I felt this magic where someone would appear just when I needed help. It also made me realize that hard things are worth pursuing and stepping out of your comfort zone and following your intuition are where the magic and growth happens.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That I am so much more resilient than I ever thought. That having a support system is incredibly important and to be really grateful for people who will be there for you through life’s ups and downs.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I’d say kindness and compassion. I think life can be tough sometimes, and bringing light and positivity – whether that’s with clients, friends, or anyone you meet — makes such a difference.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in nature or spending time with loved ones. There’s something about being surrounded by an expansive landscape, or by people I care about, that helps me feel grounded and present.
