We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sasha Blaim. Check out our conversation below.
Sasha, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
After everything I’ve lived through the transformations, the uncertainty, the rebuilding a spiritual path has formed within me, grounded in peace, faith, and gratitude. It’s invisible to the eye, yet it has become the quiet foundation of every project, every photograph, every encounter I create.
When I photograph people, I don’t just look for beauty I look for truth, for that subtle vibration that rises from within. This path allows me to see others through light and acceptance, creating portraits that reflect not only how they appear, but who they are becoming.
I believe that the light we awaken within ourselves inevitably begins to illuminate everything around us.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sasha Blaim a fashion photographer, stylist, and artist based in Miami.
My work lives at the intersection of art, spirituality, and aesthetics. Through portrait photography, I explore the inner state of a person their truth, emotion, and light and translate it into a visual story. Each image becomes more than just a photograph; it’s a reflection of the soul and a dialogue about beauty, authenticity, and transformation.
I’m currently preparing for my upcoming exhibition during Art Basel that celebrates the connection between inner and outer beauty a series of portraits capturing the quiet strength, vulnerability, and light that define the human spirit.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Over the past three years, I went through a season that felt like being completely broken and born again. Everything I thought I knew about strength, success, and identity was stripped away and I was left face to face with faith. Through prayer, gratitude, and love, I began to rebuild from within.
That period taught me to see life and people with new eyes not through fear, but through presence, grace, and divine light. It deepened my connection to my art and my purpose. Now, every portrait I create carries that awareness of transformation, of resilience, and of the quiet beauty that is born from faith.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me to see through the surface of things to feel life in its raw, sacred truth.
Success often speaks in noise, but pain speaks in silence. It strips away illusions and reveals what is real: faith, compassion, and the strength that comes from surrender.
Through that season, I learned that beauty is not about perfection it’s about presence. Pain softened me; it made me more human, more awake, and more connected to others. It deepened my art and turned it into prayer every portrait I create now carries a quiet message of healing and grace.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to creating art that reflects the light and grace I’ve experienced through faith. My journey has taught me that true beauty is born from the spirit from love, forgiveness, and hope.
Through portrait photography, I try to capture that quiet presence something beyond appearance, something eternal. Every image is my way of expressing gratitude for life and for the divine love that renews and restores us. No matter how long it takes, I want my work to remind people that there is light within them that can never be lost.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is light a quiet strength born from love, gratitude, and faith.
I believe that when roles and titles fade away, what stays is presence the ability to truly see people, to inspire them, and to remind them of what truly matters.
Through my work and project She. As She Is, I try to share this feeling that within every person there is a source of light that can never be extinguished.
And if everything else one day disappears, I hope this trace remains of light, love, and humanity.
