We recently had the chance to connect with P.G.M MITATA ALBERT GAUTIER and have shared our conversation below.
P.G.M, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
“I am most proud of the invisible work I have done to build my vision. For a long time, I had to lay strong foundations in the shadows — learning, creating, and investing time and energy without immediate recognition. Today, every visible step is the result of that silent effort, which taught me discipline, consistency, and faith in a project that goes beyond what others can see.”
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Mitata Albert Gautier, also known as Prince Gautier Maskott (PGM). I am an artist, producer, and entrepreneur, and the founder of MMP PRODUCTION M/A, a label currently in the process of being established in Monaco that connects music, culture, and luxury. Our brand is unique because it bridges different worlds — Monaco for prestige, Africa for inspiration, Colombia for creativity, and Miami for international exposure. What makes us special is the blend of Afro-urban music, powerful visuals, and a strong cultural identity that we bring to every project. At the moment, I am working on international music collaborations, video productions, and building a global creative ecosystem that represents both art and legacy.”
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
“I have had mentors along the way, but my greatest teacher when it comes to work has been Mr. Mistake. Why? Because mistakes are what bring us closer to perfection. Every error I have made has taught me something invaluable, and I believe that growth and mastery are built through those lessons.”
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
“Suffering has taught me humility and depth in a way that success never could. Success celebrates you, but suffering shapes you. It showed me patience, empathy, and the strength to keep moving even when nothing seemed possible. Those lessons gave me resilience and a true appreciation of life — things success alone could never teach.”
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
“One of the biggest lies in the music and entertainment industry is that success happens overnight. The truth is that behind every so-called ‘sudden success’ are years of invisible work, sacrifice, and persistence. Another myth is that you must chase trends to succeed, when in fact authenticity and consistency are what create longevity. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be consistency. Being consistent every day leads to inevitable success. And the real way to succeed is not by being a reference, but by making a difference.”
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
“I hope people will say that I was a man who turned vision into reality, who built bridges between cultures, and who left more light than he found. That I inspired others not only through my art, but also through my resilience, my faith, and my constancy. That I believed there is no fixed age or deadline for success—because everyone has their own time. The only real key is to love what you do, no matter the obstacles or what others may say, and to keep standing firm.”
