Hi AME, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story began with a guitar and a dream.
I started my musical journey as a guitarist, songwriter, and producer, performing and working with renowned artists and experiencing the power of music to connect people. Over the years, I realized that my true calling was to inspire and develop young talent — to give children a stage where their voices could be heard and celebrated.
That’s how AME Kids Band was born in Miami — a creative project that blends music education, performance, and professional production. We create original songs and covers with children aged 6 to 18, helping them grow artistically while learning teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
Today, AME Kids Band produces high-quality music videos, live shows under the brand MNAS (Miami New Artists in the Spotlight), and original songs distributed worldwide. My mission is to show that when children are given the right tools and guidance, they don’t just perform — they inspire entire communities.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t been smooth, but every challenge shaped our mission. Starting a children’s music project like AME Kids Band meant building trust with families, developing young talent, and maintaining high artistic standards with limited resources. Balancing creativity, education, and production quality was demanding — especially while ensuring each child felt valued and confident.
We also faced financial and logistical hurdles, as creating professional-level music and videos with kids requires time, patience, and teamwork. Yet, every obstacle reinforced our purpose: to prove that with love, discipline, and vision, children can achieve extraordinary artistic results.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a music producer, songwriter, and educator specializing in developing young artists. Through AME Kids Band, I combine music education, production, and live performance to help children discover their voice and artistic identity. What sets my work apart is that we don’t just teach music — we produce professional-level songs and videos where each child is treated like a real artist.
I’m most proud of seeing children gain confidence through creativity — watching them go from shy students to performers who can move an audience. My work stands at the intersection of art, education, and empowerment, proving that professionalism and childhood can coexist beautifully when guided with heart and purpose.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe that every meaningful creation carries risk. Starting AME Kids Band was one of my biggest — investing in a project that blends childhood, education, and professional music production was unconventional. Many said it wouldn’t work because the industry rarely gives children a serious artistic platform.
But I’ve learned that risk is not about danger; it’s about vision. I risked stability to build something that didn’t exist — a place where kids could record, perform, and grow artistically with dignity and joy. Every time a child steps on stage with confidence, I’m reminded that taking that risk was the right decision.
