Hi Yara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a model and fashion designer, born and raised in Lebanon during the war. Eighteen years ago, I moved to the United States to start a new chapter and pursue my passion for fashion and creativity. Today, I run two businesses — House of Yara Studio, a marketing and content creation company that also includes a photography and videography division, and Clutch Couture by Yara, a brand specializing in luxury handmade handbags. Alongside my entrepreneurial ventures, I continue to model and walk runways, staying connected to the fashion industry that has shaped my journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Beyond surviving wars during my childhood, moving to the United States came with its own set of challenges. Adjusting to a new culture, learning a new language, and adapting to a completely different lifestyle was not easy. I’ve often missed home, especially during holidays and special occasions away from family and familiar faces. But every challenge has been a powerful learning experience — shaping me, strengthening me, and teaching me resilience on so many levels of life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a creative, self-taught fashion designer and content creator. I specialize in designing and crafting luxury handmade handbags. My mother and I started our brand, Clutch Couture by Yara, about 18 months ago, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. Every handbag we create is unique — each design is made as a single piece, which makes it truly special for our clients. Our work combines craftsmanship, creativity, and emotion, and we take pride in offering something exclusive and personal. You can find our designs in select boutiques across Florida.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always a girly girl — I loved fashion, bright colors, high heels, and makeup. I was naturally drawn to beauty, elegance, and high standards from a young age. Looking back, I can see that I’ve always had a deep appreciation for style and creativity, and today, I’m truly living the dream I manifested as that little girl who adored everything glamorous.
