Check Out Valentina Bilbao’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Bilbao.

Hi Valentina , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Valentina Bilbao
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, and shaped between America and Europe, Valentina Bilbao is a visual artist and writer currently living and creating in Paris.
Her work is a bridge between music and color, between the human soul and the divine.
For her, art is not painted — it is listened to, breathed, prayed, and danced.
Since childhood, music has been her secret language.
Today, that relationship has become a visual alchemy: Valentina decodes music and translates it into color, transforming sound into movement and emotion into matter.
Each of her paintings vibrates like a song that can be seen.
The versatility of her artworks emerges from the inspiration that each musical piece awakens in her — reflected through color, texture, and rhythm.
Throughout her career, she has presented her artworks alongside the very music that inspired them, creating immersive experiences where sound, color, and energy merge into a single emotion.
Valentina has painted the music of different eras, languages, and cultures from around the world, exploring in every melody the universal frequencies that unite humanity.
Her work transcends borders: it does not illustrate music — it embodies it.
Her colors pulse, her textures breathe, and her circular forms symbolize creation, expansion, and rebirth, giving an energetic sensation of uplifting and well-being to those who contemplate them.
In her creative process, the palette knife becomes an instrument; the gesture, a dance.
Her studio is a temple where painting, writing, and movement merge into a single act of prayer.
Because for Valentina, to create is to offer — every stroke is a prayer, every painting, an invocation of love.
After consolidating an international career —with exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, Scope New York, Art Wynwood, Aqua Art Miami, Art Palm Beach, and the Art Museum of Boca Raton— Valentina received prestigious recognitions such as the Leonardo Da Vinci Award (Florence, 2016) and First Place in Painting (Miami, 2015).
Her art forms part of private and public collections across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Beyond her artistic practice, Valentina has also developed educational and inspirational projects.
She is the creator of the Parents’ Manual, a guide designed to strengthen emotional bonds, presence, and conscious love within the family.
This project, born from her deep human sensitivity, reflects the same essence that runs through her art: to educate through love, to heal through beauty, and to awaken through awareness.
Today, from Paris, her work has taken a new flight.
Valentina writes, paints, and dances as one who invokes life itself.
Many of her paintings are born from her own texts — poems, meditations, and spiritual letters — where word and color mirror one another.
She often dances in emblematic spaces of the city — the Louvre, Palais Royal, Musée de l’Orangerie — transforming the ordinary into ritual.
Through these acts, she seeks to interact with the community, bringing joy, hope, and beauty, reminding each person of the light that lives within them.
Her creation is an act of love and faith.
From it arises what Valentina calls “The New Renaissance of Love and Art” — a movement that restores the sacred power of art, its purpose to elevate and to heal, its call to help humanity remember the light.
Her work is intense, vibrant, and universal.
It is not merely observed — it is felt, breathed, and lived.
And in every stroke, in every sound and in every silence,
the human soul is born again.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my greatest challenges was adapting to a new country while going through a divorce — a moment that required me to become both mother and father at the same time.
It was a period of deep transformation, where I learned strength through vulnerability.
Art became my way of rebuilding — not only my life, but my soul.
Through painting, I turned pain into color and silence into movement.
That experience taught me that creation is not born from comfort, but from courage, love, and faith.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Beyond my paintings and my writings, it is my direct actions with people that complete my work.
Whether dancing barefoot, under the rain, or painting together with the community, I witness how art can transform emotions and awaken new ones within the human being.
In those moments, I invite people to become active participants in my artistic expression, turning the creative act into a shared experience.
My purpose is for people to feel — to remember their own light, to rise, to believe again in beauty.
That is when I understand that my art is not only to be seen: it is to be lived, breathed, and shared.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I had my art studio for several years in Broward, and another art studio for kids at the Town Center of Weston, where I shared the joy of painting and creative expression with younger generations.
Of course, as everything in life, I took risks — but necessary ones — belonging to a time that bore fruit and allowed me to develop my career as an artist.
Now, from Paris, I am living another moment — a new stage of expansion filled with projects that unite art, writing, and spirituality,
above all guided by the purpose of bringing light, peace, and hope to the world.
My creation is an act of love and faith.
From it arises what I am looking for — “A New Renaissance of Love and Art” —
a movement that restores the sacred power of art,
its purpose to elevate and to heal,
its call to help humanity remember the light.
My work is intense, vibrant, and universal.
It is not merely observed — it is felt, breathed, and lived.
And in every stroke,
in every sound and in every silence,
the human soul is born again.
