Today we’d like to introduce you to Maya Kreidich.
Hi Maya , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for food and hospitality began early, growing up in a Lebanese family in New York where both were a natural part of life. Being raised in Queens surrounded by diverse cuisines deepened that passion. I spent my youth working in restaurants in various roles, from hosting to management. When I met my husband – a talented chef- we dreamed of combining our shared love for food,(especially Italian cuisine) and hospitality by opening our own restaurant. After years of hard work, we made that dream a reality and are thrilled to share it with our wonderful community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Just like opening any business, this journey came with its own set of challenges. Nothing good comes easy- but when you truly love what you do, every obstacle becomes worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a cozy family-run restaurant offering authentic southern Italian cuisine and house-made pastas. We aim to create a elevated yet approachable dining experience, where guests feel as comfortable and welcomed as if they were eating at Nonna’s or with their closest family.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Credit goes to my partner in life and business. Chef John Kreidich. Whose incredible talent and years of experience in Miami and New York made this dream possible-and to our children, who keep us inspired every day.
