Exploring Life & Business with Gabriela Mihailescu of Bayview Brands Digital

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Mihailescu.

Hi Gabriela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My path has always been about connecting ideas, people, and growth. I started out in marketing, working with international brands and advertising agencies, and realized early on that what really drew me in was the strategic side, understanding how creativity, partnerships, and measurable outcomes come together to create lasting impact. That curiosity has shaped everything I’ve done since.

After years of leading marketing and growth initiatives across Europe and the U.S., I built my own agency, Bayview Brands Digital, a women-led boutique that focuses on affiliate and influencer marketing for wellness and lifestyle brands. We help brands grow through partnerships that feel genuine, with creators who truly use and believe in the products they share. For me, that balance of data, relationships, and storytelling is what keeps the work exciting.

Lately, I’ve been diving into how AI can support that process and how it can help us work smarter, see connections we might miss, and leave more space for the human side of business. It’s an area I’m really curious about and one that feels like a natural extension of how I’ve always approached growth, intentional, practical, and people-centered.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been full of growth. Moving from Romania to the U.S. was one of the biggest turning points in my life and one of the hardest. I came from a place where I had already built a solid career and reputation, and suddenly I was starting from zero in a new country, with no network and a very different professional culture.

That experience was humbling in the best possible way. It taught me to listen more, adapt faster, and rebuild without ego. I had to prove myself all over again, not by talking about what I had done before but by showing what I could do in a new environment.

Looking back, that period shaped how I approach everything today, with curiosity, persistence, and perspective. It reminded me that reinvention is possible at any stage, and that starting over doesn’t erase what came before, it simply adds new layers to it.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Bayview Brands Digital is a boutique affiliate and influencer marketing agency that helps wellness and lifestyle brands grow through genuine partnerships. We focus on connecting brands with content creators who truly use and believe in their products, turning that authenticity into measurable results.

We work hands-on with every client, designing affiliate programs that are practical, compliant, and built for real growth. What makes us different is how closely we stay involved. We do not just set things up and walk away. We help brands bring in the right mix of partners, from creators who drive awareness to affiliates who generate sales, and we track what actually moves the business forward.

I am proud that we have stayed intentionally small and selective. That lets us go deep with each brand, understand their challenges, and build partnerships that last. Clients often say they feel the difference in how we work. We are part of their team, not just another agency.

At its core, Bayview Brands Digital is about making growth feel real. We believe the best marketing happens when there is trust, alignment, and an authentic connection between brands and the people who talk about them.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is feeling like I am moving things forward, even in small ways. I get a lot of energy from building something that works, whether it is a client program coming together, a new idea taking shape, or simply a good day of clear thinking and progress.

Outside of work, happiness for me comes from everyday moments, a good coffee, being near the ocean, a meaningful conversation, or discovering something useful or interesting I didn’t know before. I like the mix of movement and calm, of being curious about what is next while also appreciating what is already here.

Over time I have learned that happiness is less about big milestones and more about balance, staying connected, challenged, and at peace with where I am in the process.
