Check Out Michael Briansky’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Briansky.

Michael, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The Sweet Tooth has been around for over 45 years, but my journey with it started just a few months ago. I’ve always had a deep love for chocolate—it’s the ultimate comfort food, isn’t it? When the opportunity to take over The Sweet Tooth came along, I saw it not just as a business but as a legacy to continue and elevate.

In the beginning, it felt a little overwhelming—walking into a factory with decades of history, loyal customers, and so much potential to grow. But I quickly realized that the heart of this business is about making people happy. Whether it’s a corporate gift, a birthday basket, or a simple chocolate bar, it’s all about creating moments of joy.

Since taking over, I’ve been working to bring fresh energy to the business—modernizing operations, introducing exciting new products, and connecting more deeply with the community. One of the most exciting things we’re launching is a real chocolate factory experience starting this January. It will be a one-of-a-kind, premium experience where visitors can step into the magic of our factory—make their own truffles, enrobe Oreos and pretzels, and even paint their chocolate creations. It’s designed to be exclusive and unforgettable, perfect for everything from date nights to bachelorette parties. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.

It’s been a wild ride so far, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I feel incredibly fortunate to lead The Sweet Tooth into its next chapter and continue spreading a little sweetness wherever we can.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I think the best journeys rarely are. Taking over a 45-year-old business like The Sweet Tooth came with its own unique challenges. First, there was the scale of it—learning the ins and outs of the factory, understanding its history, and honoring what has made it special for so long, all while pushing forward with a vision for the future.

One of the most challenging parts has been managing customer expectations, especially with our loyal, long-time customers. Some have seen The Sweet Tooth evolve over decades, and I understand that change can be hard. It’s never easy to upset someone, but my hope—and what I wish every customer could believe—is that if you loved The Sweet Tooth before, you’re going to love it even more as we progress. The vision is to elevate everything: the quality, the experience, and the joy we deliver. My goal is to build on the foundation of what’s already great and take it to the next level.

Another challenge has been modernizing our operations to meet the demands of today while preserving the charm of what makes us unique. There’s so much to juggle—corporate orders, customizations, deliveries—but every step forward is one that makes the experience better for our customers.

At the end of the day, the heart of The Sweet Tooth hasn’t changed—it’s still about spreading joy and creating special moments. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth every step, and I can’t wait for everyone to see where we’re headed.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At The Sweet Tooth, my work is all about creating experiences that bring people joy. We specialize in crafting high-quality, handmade chocolate treats, from classic truffles and chocolate-dipped Oreos to elaborate gift baskets that feel as special to give as they are to receive. Our focus is on customization and creativity—whether it’s personalizing chocolates for a wedding or designing corporate gifts that leave a lasting impression.

What sets us apart is the level of care and attention we put into everything we do. For example, we don’t just sell chocolate; we create moments—whether that’s through our upcoming real chocolate factory experience launching in January, or through our beautifully curated gifts that make every recipient feel like someone truly went above and beyond for them.

I’m incredibly proud of how we’re blending tradition with innovation. The Sweet Tooth has been around for 45 years, and while we honor that legacy, we’re also bringing fresh energy into the business. We’re streamlining how we operate, introducing new products, and building an experience that’s completely unique.

For me, the proudest moments come from seeing the joy we create—from customers calling to rave about their gifts to someone’s face lighting up when they walk through our doors. At its heart, The Sweet Tooth is about connection, and I’m grateful to play a part in spreading that kind of happiness.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
