Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaydon Rodriguez.
Hi Jaydon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve played soccer my whole life. It’s always been more than just a sport to me; it’s been the center of everything I’ve done. Along the way, I had both professional and Division 1 college opportunities. I accepted a D1 offer at one point but eventually made the decision to step away. Around that time, I started training other players and realized that helping others reach their goals was what I was truly meant to do.
That decision changed everything. It led to the creation of our training facility and now the launch of our college and pro advisory platform. The goal behind it all is simple: to build the systems, resources, and platforms that players in the United States need to actually succeed. We want to help shape a soccer culture that can compete at the highest level, fix the U.S. soccer system, and give every player a real chance to reach their potential.
This is just the beginning for us, so follow the journey.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not, it’s been anything but a smooth road. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way; from getting kicked out of fields because we were growing too quickly, to trying to make a real impact on kids’ lives while older directors and organizations didn’t take us seriously. We’ve dealt with people trying to take advantage of our efforts and had to fight to solidify ourselves as one of the best training programs out there.
It hasn’t been easy, but through every challenge, I’ve felt that God has had me exactly where I’m supposed to be. Each setback has only made our vision stronger and our purpose clearer.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about MODERN ELITE TRAINING / MET PRO ADVISORY?
Modern Elite Training started as a player development company built on one simple idea: to help athletes reach their full potential. Over time, it’s grown into a complete ecosystem that develops players not just physically, but mentally and professionally as well. We specialize in elite soccer training, focusing on the details that truly separate players at the next level, from technical work and tactical IQ to mindset, professionalism, and character.
MET Pro Advisory was born out of that same vision. It’s our college and professional guidance platform designed to give players and families the resources, mentorship, and exposure they need to navigate the recruiting and professional pathways. What sets us apart is that everything we do is purpose-driven. We’re not just running sessions or offering advice, we’re building the systems and education that are missing in the U.S. soccer landscape.
We’re most proud of the impact we’ve made on players’ lives and the trust we’ve built with families across the country. At the end of the day, our mission is bigger than us, we’re working to reshape and fix the U.S. soccer system from the ground up, creating a clear path for players to reach the highest levels of the game.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Honestly, I wouldn’t say luck has played a big role, consistency has. Everything that’s happened so far has come from showing up every day, staying focused, and trusting the process even when things weren’t going our way. I believe that when you stay consistent, the right opportunities start to align. Some people might call that luck, but to me, it’s just the result of staying faithful and putting in the work.
