Today we’d like to introduce you to Valeria Evdemon.
Hi Valeria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Valeria Evdemon—a mom of two, creative director, UI/UX designer, certified Scrum Master, and the founder of a boutique brand design & strategy studio. I was born in San Nicolás, Argentina, and I’ve been obsessed with color, form, and creativity for as long as I can remember.
I earned a Bachelor’s in Multimedia Technology from Maimónides University, graduating with the second-highest GPA and an academic merit scholarship. I also served as a teaching assistant in the Marketing & Business Plan department. In addition, I hold a minor in Digital Design from the Belgrano Institute in Argentina.
I started my career as a visual designer and later as an Art & Design Manager at pioneering Latin American companies in the social video game industry, creating for platforms such as Facebook and Orkut in Argentina and Brazil. I then worked in the U.S. as an Art & Design Producer in the mobile casual games space. I have also served as a design lead at advertising agencies in Argentina and Mexico, working on Fortune 500 accounts.
Over more than 15 years of experience, I have developed skills across design, usability, branding, marketing, technology, and project management.
As a lover of processes, usability, and the user/customer experience, I believe that—beyond beauty—effective design must be functional and solve real problems to make a positive impact.
Today I’m based in Miami, where I run my studio and manage creative projects at the intersection of design, branding, usability, and technology. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, and English. I love French fries, Caipiroskas, and travel. I’m obsessed with DIY projects and crafts, and I’m a pottery enthusiast.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all—and I’m grateful for that. In Spanish we say, “Ningún mar calmo hizo experto a un marinero,” which means “No calm sea ever made a skilled sailor.” My journey has included emigrating across countries and languages, rebuilding networks from scratch, and balancing motherhood with leading creative teams and clients. I’ve navigated tight deadlines, long nights working nonstop, and the constant pressure to keep learning new tools and trends. Realizing that being a woman in the industry was a disadvantage—and that my salary was half that of my male peers—was, without a doubt, a hard hit. But each wave taught me something: resilience and the confidence to say no when the fit isn’t right. Those challenges sharpened my craft and leadership—so while the waters weren’t always calm, they’re exactly what made me the designer and creative director I am today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We’re a boutique brand design & strategy studio based in Miami. We help founders and teams turn ideas into clear, compelling brands—and translate those brands into the assets, systems, and experiences that win customers. At Mentora, we craft meaningful branding experiences that connect emotionally with people—because, as Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
Services
Brand Strategy; Visual Identity Systems; Websites (UI/UX); Go-to-Market Assets; Fractional Creative Direction & Design; and Social Media Content and strategy Design.
What sets us apart
Strategy → Execution → Operations: we don’t stop at a logo; we build the brand operating system—playbooks, templates, and rituals that keep your team on-brand under real-world pressure.
Usability first: beautiful and functional—rooted in UX thinking so your brand actually helps people take action.
Emotion at the core: we design for how your audience should feel, not only what they should see.
Cross-cultural fluency: Spanish/Portuguese/English and LATAM + U.S. market experience—ideal for brands expanding across regions.
Hands-on leadership: senior creative direction with boutique attention—you work directly with the people doing the work.
What we’re known for
Building recognizable yet flexible identity systems that teams can actually use—on day one.
Turning complex offerings into crisp stories customers understand.
Equipping clients with toolkits and training so they can execute confidently without reinventing the wheel.
If you’re launching, repositioning, or scaling—and you want a brand that’s clear, consistent, and conversion-ready—we’re your partner. We’ll help you make smart strategic choices, design a system that fits your reality, and ship the assets that move the needle.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t really believe in luck. I believe in hard work, preparation, and serving others. In my experience, the “lucky breaks” people talk about usually show up after months (or years) of doing the arduous work—showing up consistently, improving the craft, caring about clients, and building trust.
When opportunities appeared, it was because I’d done the work to be ready and because someone I’d helped before was willing to open a door. If there’s any luck in my story, it’s the kind you create by being useful, generous, and persistent—by listening well, solving real problems, and staying the course when it’s hard. That mindset has shaped both my life and my business far more than chance ever could.
