Hi Maritzel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Honestly, Pristine Business Managers started pretty naturally. I had been managing accounting and operations for different businesses for years, and I kept noticing the same thing , owners were amazing at what they did, but constantly stressed about the back-end work: bookkeeping, invoices, reconciliations, payroll… all the things that keep a business running but no one really enjoys doing.
So, I decided to branch out on my own and create something built around organization, trust, and simplicity. I wanted to give business owners the peace of mind that their numbers were accurate, their books were clean, and everything was handled the right way, without the constant back-and-forth or confusion that often comes with outsourcing.
What started as me helping a few clients on the side has grown into a full-service operation, and it’s been so rewarding to watch businesses become more confident and in control of their finances. That’s really what Pristine is about helping people feel lighter, more organized, and ready to grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it’s been completely smooth, but that’s expected when you’re just getting started. In the beginning, it was definitely an adjustment figuring out the best systems, managing multiple clients, and learning how to balance everything on my own. There’s a lot that goes into building something from the ground up, and not every day goes as planned.
But even with the challenges, it’s been worth it. Every obstacle has taught me something whether it’s how to communicate better with clients, how to manage my time, or how to stay organized as the business grows. I’m still early in the journey, but it’s been exciting to see how much progress can happen in a short time when you stay consistent and keep learning.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think the bookkeeping and business management industry is moving toward even more automation and integration. With new technology, apps, and AI tools coming out constantly, a lot of the repetitive tasks will become faster and more efficient. That means bookkeepers and financial managers will focus less on just data entry and more on analysis, strategy, and helping clients actually understand their numbers.
I also think transparency and communication will matter more than ever. Business owners want real people they can trust, not just software. So, the companies that combine technology with a personal touch are the ones that will stand out.
Overall, I see the industry becoming smarter, more collaborative, and more focused on helping business owners make confident, informed decisions instead of just managing numbers in the background.
