Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Banaszewski.
Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m originally from Pittsburgh and went to beauty school back in 2012, but I didn’t truly fall in love with doing hair until 2020 when I found extensions. That’s when everything changed for me. I saw how they could completely transform not just someone’s look, but how they feel about themselves.
In 2022, I started Miami Hair Extensions with the goal of creating a luxury experience that still feels personal and down to earth. It’s been such a rewarding journey; growing my brand, connecting with amazing clients, and helping women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance everything; running a business, managing clients, keeping up with social media, and still finding time for myself. There’s so much that happens behind the scenes that people don’t always see. I’ve had to learn the ins and outs of business, from scheduling and finances to marketing and branding, all while trying to stay creative and present. Time management has definitely been a learning curve, but every step has taught me how to work smarter, set boundaries, and trust the process.

I specialize in luxury, seamless hair extensions and creating natural, effortless blends. I really focus on making the hair look and feel like it’s your own. What I’m most proud of is building something that helps women feel confident and beautiful. I think what sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to each client; it’s personal, not just transactional.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is seeing the confidence shift in my clients…that moment when they look in the mirror and truly feel beautiful. That never gets old for me. I also find a lot of joy in growing my business and creating something that I’m proud of every day. Outside of work, my son is my biggest source of happiness; he keeps me grounded and reminds me why I work so hard. And when I can find a little time for myself, nothing beats a good hot yoga class and some quiet time to reset.
