Today we’d like to introduce you to Sunflower Family Medicine LLC .

So excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Graduated from Miami Southridge in 2006
Went to the miltiary, US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman
Served over 6 years, came back and went to Nursing school
Worked as a nurse for from 2014 until 2019, until I because a nurse practitioner.
Worked in oncology at Baptist and University of Miami until i opened my own practice until 2021 (from home doing botox, family medicine visit, anti-mask letters for students)
Opened brick and mortar in January 2022.
Have grown this business organically with out marketing, just word of mouth.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has been difficult because we have been overwhelmed with the response of patients, we were not prepared for the amount of patients who needed care and believed in us and our way of doing medicine.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in preventative care versus treatment. I want to enable patients to have their own voice and choice in their medicine. I am a huge promoter of hormone replacement therapy in women, i give patients the opportunity to have a say in their care, go low and go slow with any medicine we do decide to give. With pediatrics, we do not force or push vaccines, we allow parent choice. We want to catch things early so that we can get ahead of whatever care the patient may need. We offer a holistic approach and use a variety of treatment methods instead of just prescribing medicine.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I shoot for over 50 books a year including medical and business resources. We attend PBD’s Vault annually. Listen to PBD podcast, Joe Rogan, ANYTHING that Dr. Rachel Rubin is on and promoting, The Elite NP podcasts and I read anything that FullScript or RupaHealth puts out!

Pricing:

  • Hormone replacement for women is less than $300 per 4 months
  • New Patient is $150
