We’re looking forward to introducing you to Esther Darius . Check out our conversation below.
Hi Esther, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe people secretly struggle with a lack of fulfillment.
Fulfillment is a multifaceted concept. It encompasses purpose, meaning, joy, success, and contentment. Did you know that 92% of people never achieve their goals? That leaves just 8% who actually bring their dreams to life. As a result, most people end up living a life shaped by survival rather than intention.
Because of this, I believe many people are quietly battling feelings of depression, confusion, frustration, and stagnation. Life isn’t a straight line, and even the most disciplined or detail-oriented person can face unexpected circumstances that disrupt their sense of certainty and progress.
Life throws curveballs — and while I believe people do their best to adapt, many silently wrestle with the unsettling feeling that they aren’t truly living. Some may even wonder how they ended up where they are, as if they’ve somehow slipped into someone else’s life.
While a few are able to voice this, not everyone can admit they feel unfulfilled. Too much has led them to where they are now, and they may have no clear idea how to begin creating the life they truly desire.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Esther Darius, a faith-based creator and blogger. I am the Founder and Content Creator of My Art of Vision. It is a platform where my heart is in helping others find their vision by first starting with themselves. I do this by way of blogging, teaching and interviews. I recently began a new segment called “Testimony Tuesday”. Where women are sharing their difficult stories and testifying of God’s faithfulness.
I’m passionate about helping people shift from just surviving to living with God-given vision. I created the Envision Your Vision Planner to help more people achieve their goals and live with purpose.
I hope to inspire others to do more for themselves and have a vision and prefered future for their life and strive for it. Therefore, If you’re a leader, visionary, or desire clarity this planner can empower you and those you guide to dream big—for themselves and for the Kingdom of God.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My now-husband. While others may have seen my true self, what sets him apart is that he spoke up about what he saw. Even as just my friend, he challenged me, questioned me, and helped cultivate my growth. A simple thing like challenging me to look him in the eye when speaking, instead of looking down, changed how I showed up in front of others.
He complimented me not just for the sake of saying nice words, but to highlight parts of me that I couldn’t see myself. He recognized my gifts and talents and always spoke to me from a place of possibility. He saw a light within me, even when I felt dim. He saw my business before I even knew I could start one.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That God is with me.
Just like an artist can easily thank God for an award, in light of success it’s easy to assume God is with you—because things turned out well. But when life feels bleak and you’re deep in the middle of suffering, it’s knowing God is still present, even when the storm makes it feel like you’ve been abandoned.
It’s being able to look past the hurt and pain and still see God’s hand in everything. It’s realizing He’s walking with you step by step, not just when things go right, but even when success fades away.
Suffering has also taught me to find light in dark situations, to suffer well, and to fix my heart, attitude, and pain on God—because He’s in the boat with me. And if He’s in the boat, then that has to mean we’re going somewhere.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. I believe if you meet me, you’ll get a sense of who I truly am.
If you meet me briefly, you’ll probably gather that I’m outspoken, witty, and have an outgoing personality. Some may say im an extrovert. But I’ll say I’m an introvert with extrovert tendencies lol….
But how much of that shows depends on who you are and the setting. I tend to waver between being respectful and being open, but I always gauge the situation to make sure the real me still shows up.
So you may hear a joke or two.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That she cared. I hope they remember my integrity and all the things I did with the goal of helping each person become all that God called them to be. That I was a cheerleader for clarity and vision—someone who always wanted others to think more of themselves, to be greater than they were yesterday. I want people to know my passion was to see them grow and transform into purpose-filled individuals.
That is what My Art of Vision is about. Seeing the art of living out your vision.
