Good morning Jill, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing excellence. At Ivory Dental Center, that means taking the time to understand patients, using high-quality materials and equipment, and delivering the absolute best dentistry possible. If I stopped chasing that, the work would lose its meaning and become routine instead of a standard of care that truly benefits patients.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dr. Jill Dooley, the general dentist and founder of Ivory Dental Center. I’ve been practicing for over a decade and have built a team that shares my commitment to excellence and ongoing learning. At our office, we focus on using modern, high tech equipment and materials while taking the time to really get to know our patients and provide care that lasts. We strive to give every patient the most positive, comfortable, and relaxing experience, with features like heated and massaging seats, TVs on the ceiling, noise cancelling headphones, and more. What makes Ivory Dental Center different is our attention to every detail, from the quality of treatment to the way we connect with each person who walks through our doors. We are always learning and growing so our patients can receive the best dentistry possible.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What can break the bond between people is often a lack of trust or feeling unheard, and in a dental setting that might look like feeling rushed, dismissed, or unsure about the care you are receiving. At Ivory Dental Center, we work to restore and build those bonds by creating an environment of honesty, transparency, and genuine connection. We take the time to listen to our patients, explain every step of their treatment, and provide care they can feel confident in. Trust is built through attention, respect, and consistency, and that is what we strive to offer every person who walks through our doors.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Of course. Dentistry is hard, and anyone who practices it knows it comes with challenges. There are moments when the work feels overwhelming, especially when you pour everything into your practice and still face setbacks. But you get back on and keep going. For me, it always comes back to the patients and the purpose behind what I do. Seeing someone regain their confidence and smile makes every difficult day worthwhile
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my closest friends, they would say what really matters to me is honesty, integrity, accountability, and loyalty, the grown up things. I try to live those values in both my personal life and my practice. At Ivory Dental Center, that means being honest with patients about their care, holding myself accountable to the highest standards, staying loyal to my team and patients, and always acting with integrity. Those principles guide how I make decisions and build relationships and they are at the heart of everything I do.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as a dentist who always put patients first, delivering exceptional care with comfort and relaxation at the forefront. I want them to feel that they were valued and treated like family every time they came through our doors. I also hope they remember how much I cared about my team, supporting and valuing them like family, and creating a workplace where work life balance and growth were possible. Ultimately, I hope the story reflects a practice built on trust, respect, and genuine care for everyone involved.
