An Inspired Chat with Monika Kiss of Fortlauderdale

We recently had the chance to connect with Monika Kiss and have shared our conversation below.

Monika, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I start my day with meditation or we can say praying.
Connecting my soul to my body.
As an artist this is a great time for me to “ channel “ the universe.
What can I do to make myself and the world a better place.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Hungarian- American woman artist.
I paint modern big sizes oil painting on canvas.
Abstract symbolism with spiritual meanings.
I had been learning and respecting all the religions.
I realized the Holy Spirit is common in all.
I paint the Holy Spirit through my abstract art.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
As a modest person I didn’t think about myself as a special artist.
But meeting the living biggest artist in different countries they gave me so much confidence.
To know that I am not copied anyone in my work.I am recognizable as my own style is something new, means a lot in fine art word.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
When all kind of pain comes Art is a good way to disappear from your pain.
Create something makes me happy and God like. The Creator was creating us so we have his qualities.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
About art in my opinion there is a lot of lies.
The only think matter is what you think about it.
When the work is done the art piece will connect with a person.
Not important the artist as much as we think.
A real artist is a messenger, doing a job for humans.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I am gone my art work will speak instead of me.
I think the art will elevate the world energy to be a better place.
I will be here forever through something is bigger then me: ART
